I wonder how far along this one is coming. Not really excited by any of the other reveals so far.

Well. if I do buy any 3rd party Skyfire it will be this one, I like the engineering of the other company too, but I am not looking for MP scale.

This is classics scale, which I like/want. For me, all they really need to do is revise the head sculpt a bit to be more accurate and I'm sold.

The both of these are to be the same height 12" with Kronos being a more cartoon accurate verson.

It seems that way i'm not sure if they have just scrapped the titan and went for kronos which imo would be for the best.

Agreed. After looking at the DACA offerings, this version by MF is still looking the best to me. Can't wait to see some final comparison shots.

Update:

Sorry for the long period without updates friends but we have been working hard on getting kinks out. so finally here is a few SkyGuardian prototype pics of our version. its design is intended for Classics and Universe toys. As you can see compared to the Prime and Dirge he is one big bot with scale in mind of the G1 episodes and comics. please let us know your comments and please feel free to share with the rest of the TF community.

I think I want it just for the alt mode. Hasbro really screwed up the scale with the macross jet. This is more real.

I think I agree. One of the main reasons I've been wanting a more G1 Jetfire (Skyfire, actually

) was for a G1 cartoon accurate alt mode and this one seems to come closest so far (though Daca's offering is pretty good too, although sold out at the moment, at least on BBTS).

The hips on this one look horrible in bot mode, but if it's going to be sitting on my shelf in alt mode anyway, I can get this for alt mode, get Hasbro's for bot mode and I'll be pretty much set for Skyfires

Hmm. If this is priced affordably (well, as 3rd parties go...) I might just skip the Hasbro version and go right to this.

It looks like a G-1 tiny decoy in that solid red color. :lol:

I don't like the Sculpt on the hip joints.

The jet mode looks better than Kronos's jet mode.

The robot mode looks worse than Kronos's robot mode.

Still think the 30th HasTak toy is the clear winner.

Between HasTak's and Daca's Kronos, Skyfire is better covered in both Classics and Masterpiece scales.

I'll be using Hasbro Jetfire as well in Classics, and Kronos for MP.

Im assuming that maybe the hips will colapse into the crotch area. Maybe the prototype is soft plastic and he didnt want to force it. Im just being hopeful. Either way, I want one.
