I also use MP Cassettes for my Classics shelf, I thought I was the only one! I also have UT Blaster, and for me he is the quintisetial Classics Blaster, OK he can't hold cassettes but hey neither can my Device Label Soundwave so what good for the goose and all that. This representation of Blaster just has too many no-nos for me, die cast=no! fake speakers=no! ripped off MP transformation=no, if they were going to rip off the MP Soundwave transformation they should have just made a downscaled MP Soundwave, now that I would buy.

That's me told I was under the impression people didn't mix Clasics with MP as a rule, I guess the cassettes are the exception.

They scale better with classics. I always thought it was weird how Takara upsized Soundwave but not cassettes when the did the MP figure. Sometimes in the cartoon, the cassettes were portrayed as being human sized. But other times they were portrayed to be slightly smaller than scout class. Out of the two scales, I prefer the scout size to the human size. It just looks cooler in a display.
On Megasteel....diecast ? That may very well be the deal breaker to make me stick with UT Soundmixer.

Yeah, early test shots show die cast lower legs, seems to be thier gimmick as their IDW Megatron has a fair amount of die cast also, guess there not called Megasteel for nothing.
Funnily enough the die-cast would make me more likely to buy it. If they put it in the lower legs he should be pretty stable- lower centre of gravity and all. Of course if they do it badly he might end up tearing himself apart butI have a feeling they'll do it well.

I understand the logic behind it, it's just something that I personally dislike, had no time for it in G1 and still haven't.

I got this figure last week. It is pretty good; solid, good looking. The die cast is not bad. It makes the figure feel of high of high quality. It fits well with classics toys I have replaced Soundmixer with Buster.
