I am not sure if this was covered but I just saw the movie again and was wondering about the condition of Megatron when he is being dumped into the ocean. He is missing an arm and a leg. When he died he had all limbs attached. This makes me think that the government took two important pieces of Megatron for their own needs. His arm has a powerful weapon inside that they could reverse engineer for the military and his leg has I believe his cybertronian engines that power him in his jet mode. These two items would be immensly valuable to the military. What I cant explain is why they wouldn't just keep all of him like before but maybe there was somebody watching them to make sure they dumped his body? Its not a flawless theory but it is intriguing.

His right arm is gone because he is going to have an arm cannon in 2. Thats my thought anyway.

Yeah, I found it really strange that he was missing an arm and a leg as well. I like your idea about the government taking the parts to study.

don't know how to explain the arm, but the leg was from when all the jets hit megatron, then prime delivered that swing that knocked megatron out from under him. You can see his leg flying off there. Which also makes me wonder why Prime didn't get up and proceed to beat the cripple's ass.

Well here is my idea how megatron will gome back to life.

This is my guess. You know how pushing the allspark into someones chest they didnt know what the reaction was going to be. So im guessing that the allspark over flowed him with sooo much power it knocked him out for some time then when they dump him in the trench he gets cought on a rock so the pressure dose not crush him when he is knocked out. He comes out of the sea very badly damaged and water worn then he scans a tank or earth vehichle of some sort to conceal that they think he is still dead. The decepticons come back to earth lead by starscream for revenge then all the suddenly a millitary tank that is thought to be used by the usa millitary to defend the earth from the evil robots transforms ALL HAIL LORD MEGATRON then the autobots are contacted by the government that the need there help and megatron is back and the movie begins.

My sister told me she saw his leg come off when he got the allspark shoved into him. Not sure I belive it though, I could've sworn Megatron sttod up and fell down again after he got it shoved into him. Kan't member, for such a long movie it went by soo fast!

I wanna see it again...

One question... Is the Allspark allowed to be fused ONLY to leaders of either autobots or decepticons? Isn't it possible that any of the smaller autobots (who have enough guts) to just shove the thing into their own chest to diffuse a potential disaster?

they prolly couldnt handle it cus of their small size. which is why megs will prolly come back as galvatron, and this will be a trilogy ending with Unicron or something

bay already said he wanted to do like 8 movies if possible. personally if done right i do wanna see more then 3 TF movies.

The reason why prime said to do it to him is called "self sacrifice" not because he is a leader bot and only capable of handling because he wasnt even sure what would happen.

I agree with that point. But given the dire situation they are in, some of the other Autobots should have seen the point, and make the sacrifice himself. Given their great respect for Prime, someone should have volunteered, with or without permission, in order to save Prime as well. I would do that if i were in that situation, without second thoughts. I'm sure all of the Autobots know that Prime is the most important of them all.
What i mean is that... ONLY Sam grasped that idea, and created a solution of his own, defying Prime's direct instruction.

It's like you're in a battle, and you're running around with the President (a good one), you see an enemy getting an aim at him, no time to lose, you jump into the line of fire. No second thoughts. More so, if you're a govt agent or a soldier.

Another similar situation is Armaggedon. Ben Afleck was chosen by straw vote to stay behind and fire the nukes. But future father-in-law Bruce Willis loves his daughter too much that he don't want to see Ben die, so, against Ben's will, against what was agreed upon, he instantly found a way to trick Ben into switching roles. So Bruce stays behind to die.

Forgive me if i may say so... It seems the Autobots (except Prime) are GUTLESS.

That is, unless, only LEADERS can do the Allspark-to-chest thing.
