What, these old things?
Been ages since I've read them or bought a new one. (And heck, never really read the prequel novelizations... Mainly bought them to give Outbound Flight context on the shelf, ha ha.) I hear Zhan has a few more... As long as they aren't chronologically after Survivor's Quest, maybe I'll pick those ones up someday. (Survivor's Quest seemed a good stopping point, and from what I hear the storyline went kind of crazy after that.)
One of these days, though, I want to start at the beginning and just give them all a chronological read. (It'll take a while, if and when I do!)
While not unexpected, it was still a bit unsettling with the upcoming new film to be told, "Yeah, you know that extended universe that you've been loving for decades? Yeah, nope. Not canon. Have a nice day." Even if I like the new films (I'm cautiously optimistic) they'll have to be like the best pieces of Star Wars fiction ever before they become my canon.
Ahem... (*cough*) So... yeah, Metroplex. Metroplex is awesome! Hooray! Metroplex, bonsai!

And yes, we'd like to talk about Metroplex more, but I think some of us are waiting for the next accessories to show up. C'mon B&A and UT!!
Yotsuyasan wrote:I have some of the Young Jedi Knights books... And I did enjoy them. When I moved into my current apartment, however, I left them in the boxes full of crap I have in my folks' basement. I think it was partially a matter of just having to prioritize shelf space, partially a matter of I didn't have all of the Young Jedi Knights books.Agamemnon wrote:Yotsuyasan wrote:Ahem... I know, I know. I was just lampshading my own off-topicness... In a thread I started, no less!

Thanks.

No need to apologize. Awesome photos! I'll probably be doing something similar myself once I finally get my Six Sigma. (Darn it, one last thing I am still waiting for in my Source Stack, arrive in stock so I can ship everything!)
Nice you found a way to (sort of) use everything in each mode! Myself, as much as I normally hate having extra parts, I think I'll have no problem putting aside a few things here and there. But one thing I was concerned about, you seem to have pulled off nicely! How did you get the red guns to attach in city mode?

Agamemnon wrote:The pegs on Metroplex that allow the legs to stick together fit into the black painted screw holes near the gun handle swivel. It's a nice tight fit! I can try to take a pic of what I'm talking about when I get my camera set up again.

Well, I am glad for this. Because, based on my memories of the G1 toy, city mode is supposed to be the one mode where you can use all of the parts. And, with it seeming like Before & After hadn't made for a way for the guns to attach, they had kind of failed to deliver on that. (The wins of the figure still outweighed this one loss, to my opinion.) To hear that you've found a way makes me quite happy!
