Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:Personally, I thought the first movie was pretty good...but there was a lot of issues, namely the chicken/gorilla/bug hybrid that goes by the same name Starscream does. Bay has shown very little respect to the franchise & had no remorse for any changes he made due to nothing other than his preferences(i.e. Prime needs flames because I like painting the house green when everybody else thinks it should be blue), & for that, I think I'd like to see what somebody else with a bit more respect can do now that the world has been shown that the franchise is profitable within the movie-making industry.

I swear, if that fukin stupid mountaindewtron shows up in the next movie, I will walk out of the theater on General principal.
Then again, Bay is a MoneyBitch
The "stupid mountaindewtron" as you call it was better thought out than the little nokia bot with a bazooka and chaingun. At least the mountain dew machine used items it had within itself for ammo.
I want to see someone offer you lots of money for a crosspromotion and then you walk away. I would give my cousins left t****cle to see that. (I really don't think you would though). So let keep calling Bay a moneybitch because he gets paid for his chosen profession, so unless you are unemployed then we could in essence call you a moneybitch for not working for free.
I'm not a bay hater, nor a sympathiser. I'm just tired of people whining about so called crappy decisions that they would most likely have made if the same choises were given to them.
Erm, whatever happened to making a good film? Yes, you can do all the cross-promotion you want....but don't let that now dictate the ENTIRE film. As many people have said, the movie was one of the worst and most blatant product placement films out there.
Bay is not a film director, he just knows how to make money...NOT GOOD FILMS! Get him out and get someone who cares about the filmmaking process in there.
You say it that why I don't like Bay and that why he got the name I named him.

The thing was because Bay =(just for you Robinson)cares like **** about Transformers as I read in a magazine, he don't like to make the first one ever if Steven Spielberg wasn't so stubburn to get Bay as director.
Like bay said he doesn't like make a movie from toyline that just so stupid +/- like this was their words.

Bay has also stated that after he went to hasbro and saw a bunch of stuff and learned a little bit more insight into the franchise that he liked it and had fun making the movie.

If you take away the comics and japan that have kept the franchise alive for the most part then what do you have?
A 20 year old cartoon that is based on a toyline that hasbro wasn't even creative enough to make from scratch, they bought other companies toys and rebranded them.
Considering that it is Hasbro's property, & they have yet to name him Devastator in any incarnation, my guess would be on Brawl. They were supposed to have final say on all TF names, not Michael Bay.Robinson wrote:Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:Personally, I thought the first movie was pretty good...but there was a lot of issues, namely the chicken/gorilla/bug hybrid that goes by the same name Starscream does. Why should he show remorse? He doesnt have to bow to what anyone of us fans like or don't like. He was given the reigns and ran with it.
Also on your sig part about Brawl. If it really was a goof they had plenty of time between the austrailia sneak premiere and the release to fix said goof. It has been stated from Bay that he changed the name back to devastator. We don't know for sure which is right however I'm not so sure I would state it as fact like your sig does.

Anywho, to clear this up, I have sent Hasbro's website an inquiry reguarding his proper name. I should probably have an answer in a day or 2.

It was supposed to be his codename. All the minor player TFs had code names to keep their identities a secret so fans wouldn't be picking apart the movie ahead of time based on character choice.....that & so hasbro had time to come up with the name copyrights for the toys.Xion wrote:Nemesis Cyberplex wrote:Considering that it is Hasbro's property, & they have yet to name him Devastator in any incarnation, my guess would be on Brawl. I think it was just a nickname for Brawl.

I saw some making of the movie kinda programmes before the film came out, and Bay was a complete arse - he really had a go at some poor guy because his coffee was too cold or something stupid, and whenever he was having a bad day, really took it out on people around him - so i for one am glad he'll be off the movie. He can crawl off to Sony and screw up Spidey 4.
Jeeze.....
