Personally, I thought the first movie was pretty good...but there was a lot of issues, namely the chicken/gorilla/bug hybrid that goes by the same name Starscream does. Bay has shown very little respect to the franchise & had no remorse for any changes he made due to nothing other than his preferences(i.e. Prime needs flames because I like painting the house green when everybody else thinks it should be blue), & for that, I think I'd like to see what somebody else with a bit more respect can do now that the world has been shown that the franchise is profitable within the movie-making industry.

Oh no, please don't go. What would we ever do without the master of cinema, the great Michael Bay?

I think nothing but good can happen by seeing another director's vision of Transformers.

Why should he show remorse? He doesnt have to bow to what anyone of us fans like or don't like. He was given the reigns and ran with it.

Also on your sig part about Brawl. If it really was a goof they had plenty of time between the austrailia sneak premiere and the release to fix said goof. It has been stated from Bay that he changed the name back to devastator. We don't know for sure which is right however I'm not so sure I would state it as fact like your sig does.

Thank you.
I swear, if that fukin stupid mountaindewtron shows up in the next movie, I will walk out of the theater on General principal.
Then again, Bay is a MoneyBitch

The "stupid mountaindewtron" as you call it was better thought out than the little nokia bot with a bazooka and chaingun. At least the mountain dew machine used items it had within itself for ammo.

I want to see someone offer you lots of money for a crosspromotion and then you walk away. I would give my cousins left t****cle to see that. (I really don't think you would though). So let keep calling Bay a moneybitch because he gets paid for his chosen profession, so unless you are unemployed then we could in essence call you a moneybitch for not working for free.

I'm not a bay hater, nor a sympathiser. I'm just tired of people whining about so called crappy decisions that they would most likely have made if the same choises were given to them.

Erm, whatever happened to making a good film? Yes, you can do all the cross-promotion you want....but don't let that now dictate the ENTIRE film. As many people have said, the movie was one of the worst and most blatant product placement films out there.

Bay is not a film director, he just knows how to make money...NOT GOOD FILMS! Get him out and get someone who cares about the filmmaking process in there.

You say it that why I don't like Bay and that why he got the name I named him.

The thing was because Bay =(just for you Robinson)cares like **** about Transformers as I read in a magazine, he don't like to make the first one if Steven Spielberg wasn't so stubburn to get Bay as director.
Like bay said he doesn't like make a movie from toyline that just so stupid +/- like this was their words.

If you take away the comics and japan that have kept the franchise alive for the most part then what do you have?

I wonder if part of this has to do with the the "exception" in Paramount's decision to go HD, that all Spielberg's movies are going to be dual-format.

Who knows though... this could be another ploy to get a higher fee, but posting something on your web site as opposed to issuing a statement makes it seem a little more legit. I'm not a Bay hater, but there are days I would HATE to be his agent, no matter how much money it netted me.

Considering that it is Hasbro's property, & they have yet to name him Devastator in any incarnation, my guess would be on Brawl. They were supposed to have final say on all TF names, not Michael Bay.

Anywho, to clear this up, I have sent Hasbro's website an inquiry reguarding his proper name. I should probably have an answer in a day or 2.

It was supposed to be his codename. All the minor player TFs had code names to keep their identities a secret so fans wouldn't be picking apart the movie ahead of time based on character choice.....that & so hasbro had time to come up with the name copyrights for the toys.

Actually it was probably moreso the latter than the former.

That's a fictious myth. It's because people wanted to be able to record longer. And Sony was bullish and arrogant and decided that people didn't want longer tapes, but higher quality. But everyone knows that the average American football game is roughly 4 hours, and if you wanna tape that with a Beta, you have to be at home to do so because Beta only ran for 2 hour lengths.

Get your head outta your aft and start thinking before you post myths as your grounds for a debate.

Yeah I know this problem, I try my best that my phrases becomes understandable.
What didn't you understand ?

@starhorse

Actually I like the movie even that Bay was going too far with the publicity like "this is better then Armageddon" or all the commercial stuff like HP, Panasonic etc. Of caurse we find those items in the real life, too but in a movie that's look like a propaganda to buy your stuff. And that's the point I don't like Bay and the fact that Bay like Optimus Prime with lips.
Why I will go looking the second movie if there is one ? Because even many negative points the movie is good could be better but good. And I enjoyed the battles between Autobots and Decepticons. And because there is always the hope that the second movie is better then the first.
Transformersbitch of caurse I'm a Transformersbitch I think who doesn't, if the user don't like Transformers they aren't here, isn't it.

What a pathetic whiner!!! This is gret news, maybe the next TF can have some plot to it, and you might be able to make stuff out!!

I saw some making of the movie kinda programmes before the film came out, and Bay was a complete arse - he really had a go at some poor guy because his coffee was too cold or something stupid, and whenever he was having a bad day, really took it out on people around him - so i for one am glad he'll be off the movie. He can crawl off to Sony and screw up Spidey 4.

The exclusive deal between HDDVD and Paramount is for 18 months

The TF movie will find its way to blu ray.

This is just a last ditch effort by HDDVD investors to save a dying, inferior product.

HDDVD supporters picked wrong, this 150 million dollar deal is the last breath of HDDVD

Ok! Let's clear out all of Bay's crap, come on, move it all out! No no! Not those robot designs, we have to be consistant. Ok, let's get us a director who can make these robots actual characters rather than background props.

Two things...

1) Bay is stupid!! What kind of paycheck is he passing up just because Paramount doesnt want to release it on Blu-ray?? I have principles too, but I dont think Id pass up the paycheck thats connected to a $500 million movie.

2) Blu-ray is the 21st centuries Beta-max...made by the same people for crying out loud. I dont hear anyone getting mad at Sony Pictures (that makes TONS of blockbusters) getting crap for only releasing their movies on Blu-ray. Heck, they are even trying to force it down your throat when you buy a PS3!!

Like the Beta-max, Blu-ray is more expensive technology, and big studios will support what sells more units. Lower prices sell more units not to mention it saves THEM money. If Bay says no because of that... so be it. He did his job, opening up the franchise  Now, even more talented directors might want to be a part of the universe all of out here know and love!!
