Maybe Sam is not human anymore, so he doesn't need her. He did die in the 2nd film, right?

Let's face it. Compared to "modern actresses", Betty White is not only far more attractive and REAL, she can actually act!

I'd be very suprised if whoever they find can act any better than Megan Fox.

I think the question now is... Is the new actress going to take over and play the same character or will Sam have a completely new Love interest... I hate it when a different actor plays the same character in a sequel, but oh well....

Seeing that Megan was already on set, I'm kinda thinking Mikaela will be killed at the beginning of the movie which causes the change in Sam... Sam will become a more serious character, similar to the interview posted a couple days ago, from losing the love of his life... he could also befriend this new girl and grow to love each other, but not show it until TF4.... Bay may just completely avoid a relationship in TF3...just my thoughts

Honestly I don't know what to say, she was the main female role and she was hot

, but her acting was horrible, and she soon got annoying.... Maybe Michael made a good decision :???:

Given that they said the movie takes on a more serious tone than the previous ones, and that there would be considerable loss of human life, I think it's possible that Mikaela is killed pretty quick in the movie, and whoever they pick as the new girl is the one who comforts Sam. I really do hope it brings in a change for him, I'm tired of seeing him as an awkward little spaz when Shia actually has the potential to be a great actor. I mean, I remember after the first movie I thought he was a little f-wad. Then I saw him on SNL, and he's pretty damn funny. Made me want to see Disturbia, so there's a good actor in there, the problem is that so far his most notable performance is the Transformers movies, and he's being portrayed as a spazzy dork. I mean, obviously they can't just make him to a character 180, but putting a little more growth in there than what he showed between the first and second movie would be nice. Of course, when I watch the movies, I rarely pay attention to the humans in them at all, so it could just be me who isn't seeing any character development in him.

She had the brains of an apple and could not act. No big loss. They should give the role to Rachael Taylor II who played Maggie Madsen in the 1st film. Now there is an actress with brains (as portrayed) and looks who can act.

Yeah, I think she would do a pretty good job. That and she was already established. Much better fit for Sam imo.

I hope these rumors are true, I will not miss her one bit.

My money is on NOBODY for the part of Mikeala. I think her part will be nixed entirely and that there won't even be any GF for Sam in TF3. As for the whole thing with whats-his-name from Greys Anatomy playing Mikeala's boss, I'm willing to wager that that part will just morph into something different along the way.
I'm more inclined to believe that Bay would put his writing team through absolute hell with last second script revisions than try to recast Fox's character with someone new.

I'd pick a combination of nix (they break up in the time-skip between Revenge of the Fallen and TF3) and recast (only they use my break-up theory for an in-story explain-away of Megan's departure and use the "recast" to introduce Sam to Carly).

THANK JESUS!!! My God, this is honestly the best news Ive heard about the TF movie franchise since it started! Granted I love the movies, I just hated that b!ch through both movies! In the first one she was OK at the end when she helped BB but the rest of the first movie and ROTF she did nothing but bitch about things. I don't really like Megan Fox, but I think Mikaela was okay as a character. If they're going to kick her out, they should leave Sam with no love interest. Giving him a new love interest is inconsistent and stupid. He's not James Bond. Romance isn't really necessary for an action movie anyway.
