If you think you've heard everything that Michael Bay has to say about Transformers, you'd better check out this news article at Moviesonline.ca to be sure.
In it you will find the now infamous Michael Bay discussing things like, why Shia for the main role, the underlying message for the movie, Bay's consideration of the female audience, if he was indeed going to be directing Die Hard 4 at one point, and so much more (some that might surprise you).
MoviesOnline: Michael, some of this movie plays like almost a recruiting vehicle for the military. Can you talk about all the military elements in the film that you said grounded the film more in reality?
"MICHAEL BAY: If you look at the theme, ‘No sacrifice, no victory.’ I think that’s how they see it. They just want to be treated credibly. They want it to be shown in a real light. If you are fighting Scorponok, how would they do an air strike? So we literally show you how it happens?"
Check it out for some interesting and very detailed insights.

A very long interview, with a lot of Bay continuing to defend himself. Nothing really new is revealed here, but it was an interesting read. I must admit that I found it interesting how Bay said that the film tested positive with kids and their parents, considering some of the content he alluded to (such as language, violence, and the sex-related joke). I'm not knocking it, but you would usually think that you would get some complaints from parents in these focus groups and test screenings. Maybe it really will have that mass appeal! Still hard to believe there's only 13 days left!

LONG interview! Jeez! Some nice little chunks of trivia in there. Michael Bay is either a really cool dude, or he's a total @$$hole. Anyways, can't wait to see this movie.

So Bay was never a transformer fan but dictated what the TF's should look like in the movie and decided to make the film to appeal to non-TF fans because his first impression of making a TF movie was 'not a stupid, silly toy movie' which is why he created new designs. Yes, he does sound like a prick!

Yes, he does seem like a prick.
However, I'm sure he was over worked and pushed beyond his breaking point here.
All in all, I wouldn't want to be in his shoes, I think he's got a hell filled life ahead of him after this.
On the one hand, if it crashes, everyone will blame him.
On the other, if it excels far beyond our expectations, everyone will demand blood from a stone in terms of ramping up the sequel.
I also think he has a hard time communicating with people, he seems to me to be quite the private person. I mean you really never see much about him.

Hes a rich prick with the entire Hasbro machine's backing. Hes an asshole at the helm of the entire Transformers franchise. His film might dictate how and where TFs go from here on out. Hes kind of like the Primus of the whole future TF universe( Least the Movies), makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside doesn't it?
