Greetings Seibertronians!

Matrix_Holder is reporting a sighting of Shattered Glass voyager Megatron and Starscream at GameStop in Burlington, Ontario, in Canada! They came out to $40 CAD with use of the platinum edge card.

So this means that this exclusive line from Hasbro Pulse in the USA will be in Canadian GameStop just like for the Kingdom Ravage set! The Shattered Glass deluxes are then likely to appear too.

If the trend continues, Canadians may be able to get most of their Pulse exclusives at GameStop instead of importing them at very high cost. Ordering anything from Pulse costs between 22$US to 30$US plus they charge ALL the Canadian taxes. So being able to get it locally is a boon for Canadians.

I really like that Starscream...in my head, that's the Starscream that was friends with Jetfire before the war. Similar colours because they were part of the same science academy or something. If I ever get around to repainting my classics Jetfire in toy accurate/macross colours, SG SS would go great with him!

TrU now follow Quebec's vax mandate. I'm very frustrated by that whole situation and things are becoming ridiculous. There were barely anyone inside the store too. Then they had nothing new to show on the TF shelves.

Then, the prices.

Toys R Us Canada as just increased the prices of Transformers yet again. This time, the increase is ludicrous, skyrocketing the prices at highs never seen before.

SS Deluxes are now 43$. (33.75US)

Select Deep Cover at 40$. (31.38$US)

Core class at 17$ (13.34$US)

Ectotron is now 110$! (86.31$US)

1-steps at 17$ (13.34$US)

Draculus at 85$ (66.70$US)

Kingdom voyagers at 50$ (39.23$US)

Commander Rodimus Prime at 140$ (109.87$US)

Not pictured, leader SS at 85$ (66.70$US)

The most amazing thing is that Amazon, GameStop, and Walmart don't follow those prices increases at all. Everything at those stores are still at the previous prices of 30/35$ for deluxes, 40/45$ for voyager, and 70/75$ for a leader.

Only at Toys R Us that the DELUXES are now at the previous prices of VOYAGERS. Why such outrageous price hikes at Toys R Us? Sure, there's the pandemic and overall supply chain trouble and such, but to see that ridiculous inflation only happening at Toys R Us is baffling.

Will you still shop your Transformers at Toys R Us?
Me, I highly doubt it.

Toysrus is the only place getting the Buzzworthy Transformers toys in Canada and the latest release for the line has been found. Deluxe Silverstreak was found at a Toysrus in Ontario and we got this info from Tonestar who reported it on the Cybertron.ca boards. The price was a hard one to swallow though, since he is $42.99. All the selects toys have been released too, though they are even pricier at Toysrus. For instance, the black Ironhide redeco called Guard is available at Toysrus for $45 but also available at Gamestop Canada for $35.99.

At this point I'm probably gonna switch to being a 3rd party and KO collector unless Hasbro releases something I REALLY want. Over $40 for a deluxe is not worth it to me. I would love to keep going with Hasbro but trying to keep up with the amount of figures they release per wave is unfortunately not sustainable for me unless there's a sale.

Ugh...that price is ridiculous. Should one assume Kup and Cliffjumper will be the same? After getting Origins Bee, I realized just how small he and Cliff are...no way is he worth north of $20, let alone $40. You could get voyager SG Starscream fron EB for your forty bucks...

O' course, in my mind, deluxes are still $20, voyagers $30, and leaders $60.

Looks like it's just those last Dinobots for me, unless prices go down drastically.

Kup and Cliff would be the same IF they ever come to Canada. Toysrus has not been consistent with Target exclusives, we never did get roadrage. Hence why Canadians grabbed those 2 on hasbro pulse when they were made available.

While they took their sweet time getting here, Canada has been getting some new Transformers toys. The Legacy wave 1 core class figures have been found at Toysrus and the deluxe figures were found at Walmart. While initial sightings were in Ontario, they are reaching out across Canada now. Just yesterday, the reissue of the original Beast Wars Scorponok in show colours was found in Montreal, as you can see in the image below. The first wave of 2022 Studio Series deluxes is trickling out one bot at a time at Gamestop, but distribution is far from being wide for those.

That's a surprising Cyberverse lineup, Walmart and Target in the US have really thinned them out. Walmart only carries 1 Step, Warrior, Roll & Combine and Roll N' Change. Target is pegged for everything, but never stocks anything, last time I checked they were down to some Scouts, one 1 Step Megatron, 5 Deluxe Arcees and a Ultimate Hot Rod.
