I have a few spare G2 :G2CON:

labels so I pimped out my Select Sandstorm and G2 Ramjet. Because in my headcanon Netflix Hotling is Cybertronian G2 Ramjet and Netflix Sparkless Seeker is Cybertronian Sandstorm, I applied the labels to them as well. Everything is just perfect and even the Targetmasters are of the right colors!

Wave 3 was very underwhelming yes. Was a perfect opportunity for Primal and Rattrap to instead be Packrat and Apelinq for instance. Was disappointing, but at least I got Deeseeus out of it (I refuse to call that an army drone, that to me will be my Deeseeus). He is fun

Well this sucks. Finally got around to opening Soundwave (yeah, just a bit late) only to find his right hip pin is grossly misaligned. Instead of going straight through it's at a downward angle and leaving a tiny bulge just below the hole preventing outward movement of the right hip at all (and it forces the hip to sit a little lower). If this was the Siege figure it wouldn't be a huge problem, but outward movement of the hips is the bulk of NetFlix SW's transformation. Definitely getting the Legacy version if it really is the same mold, either as a replacement for a hip replacement.

While we have seen many complaints of there being too many Bumblebees on the shelves, one of the most coveted toys from Hasbro for the past year(s) is a Bumblebee toy. The deluxe toy from the second wave of the Netflix line, available only at Walmart, and it was the only release of this specific mold with the Volkswagen alt mode. Well, Canadian retailer Toysnowman, who ships to the US, was able to get a shipment of these (along with the other Netflix deluxes). It is available right now with a limit of 1 per order for 39.99 CAD (31$ USD), which is about half what it goes for e-bay at times. Do be wary of international shipping though if you are outside Canada.

I saw Netflix BB multiple times, so I had my chance. It's not in my wheelhouse of collecting, so I have no regrets. The only Netflix item I never saw at retail was Soundwave. But again it wasn't on my want list, so no loss.

Here's a thought twist. What if they can re-use the netflix mold/license but chose not to for the World Collide set just to avoid giving what is so far a Walmart exclusive to their main competitor in the US. It would sort of like giving Walmart a go at Redwing. Redwing was available again online about a year or so after Target's exclusive go at him and I think we are nearing that point with Netflix Bee.

Licencing agreements are done at the national level. What may be ok in Japan may not be ok in the US. Hence why Hasbro is importing that toy rather than manufacturing and distributing it themselves.

The G1 reissue probably was just tagging along since Hasbro specifically reissued him to go with the movie release. But we know it isn't as simple as "Hasbro has the Beetle license" otherwise they wouldn't have had to renegotiate for the Earthrise Bumblebee which took so long to approve it ended up in the Netflix line instead.

As Bumblebee figures go, this one was pretty good. Yes it was a retool of ER Cliffjumper, but an extensive retool. And since the G1 figures were also very similar, it seemed appropriate. The Netflix figure did a much better job with the paint and the detailing. Not perfect mind you, but still pretty good. It was $19.97 at the time, so we at least escaped the Ebay markups. If you were lucky enough to snag one of the ones mentioned here, kudos. As long as you're not scalpers!

Fixed it for you. In Japan, for example, it was available from Amazon Japan and TT Mall, I believe? How about all the other countries, outside the USA?

Does anybody have issues with their Soundwave yellowing? I'm starting to hear some rumblings that the gray plastic is becoming discolored. Figures are kept out of sunlight etc.

I last handled mine back in November, didn't notice anything at the time. He did come out around the same time as Cyberverse Hammerbyte whose light blue plastic is known to yellow very quickly after opening, mine yellowed after a month sitting on my desk out of direct sunlight. Maybe they were having an issue with some light colored plastic?
