Allight, no hard feelings. I wont discuss the "import topic" any futher. I meant no disrespect to anybody on here. I was just trying to have a constructive conversation and learn a few things while making a few points. And I always like to add a little humor in my posts so the forum wont be so dry. I always viewed my collection as "showpieces" rather than "collector's items" because they are an important element to my living room decor. I grew up in the G1 era where every character was available for fans and children alike. I believe in spreading the wealth when it comes to availability. Thats just me.

Japan doesn't really give a rat's ass about Transformers. They don't have 'mass-retail' there in a sense that there's a Transformers store every block, here and there. Everything's in their speciality stores, which are hard to find for any visitor. And the actual residents don't really collect, in a sense because the amount of space you have in Japan is really, really small. Plastic is wayyyyyy more popular in China, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. These were my observations..

I guess I didn't realize Hoist was going to be part of a TRU exclusive package. I missed that-no big deal. Just didn't want to drive across town to get him. Sorry. I am getting really lazy.

Wow, it's been an expensive week. Between Back Road Brawl, Gathering at the Nemesis, and the Wm Ultras, I've spent quite a bit of cash on these...

After seeing the group pic of him in Walky's blog today, I think I've decided to pass on him. He just...doesn't fit with Classics.

Interesting....been to all 4 coutries and I must say very nice and exotic. and my wife is from Malaysia and go back yearly for 6 weeks!!!

Just picked up Back Road Brawl tonight. My TRU only had four of them and everyone looks like someone took a lighter to Mixmaster's face. It was pretty disappointing.

One of the sets actually had the left eye socket completely filled in with a pool of plastic. It's like a Cannonball homage, but awful and accidental.

The last Back Road Brawl set at my local TRU i found last Sunday, has the same exact thing! Like you said the left eye socket is filled with melted plastice or blob of black paint, and i can't tell which is which honestly. But, i just called another TRU about 45 mins from me and they have 4 sets and they reserve 2 for me, so come saturday i'll find out which set has the best mixmaster.

I really hope the Back Road Brawl set doesn't turn out to be like Mastes of Metallikato!! it took me 4 months just to find a set with a near perfect paint application on Whirl...
