Wow, this thing is very small compared to the normal Masterpiece prime. And I like that, hopefully Hasbro will release it full plastic without the trailer for a normal price. I'll seriously ebay that. I really like the new face.
But still, Laser Rod Optimus Prime has the best Optimus Prime face ever.

Like the size comparison there. And I really like that truck mode. He looks so much better. This mold would look good next to my Buster Prime.

I like it, I really do but not for more than $100 shipped especially after MP Rodimus.

I've got this on preorder but here's my question/concern: How big is it? The video clearly shows that it's significantly smaller than MP01 and about the same size as Rodimus. But I don't have a Rodimus to compare it to (waiting on the US release). Is MP 10 going to be about the size of the seekers and Grimlock?

From the way MP-10 scales up to MP-1, he should be about the size of MP Starscream, more or less. My Starscream is a half-inch below shoulder height compared to MP-1 and Megatron. When the video showed MP-10 and MP-1 side by side, MP-10 was about halfway between MP-1's shoulder and elbow.

The height of the trailer is too low en the broadness of the trailer is too broad!

I actually think the scale of the iGear Faith Leader is better with Masterpiece Rodimus. This MP-10 makes MP-09 Rodimus look like a skinny wimp. The arms, torso, and legs are fare bigger and bulker on Optimus than Roddy. Faith Leader is a bit smaller than MP-09, thus making Roddy look bigger.

I would expect that the "chosen one" to replace Optimus would be a bit bigger and stronger. I remember the G1 stats of Roddy were a tad better than Optimus' as well. What is also great about MP-01, MP-09, and Faith Leader is that if you put MP-09 Hot Rod next to MP-01, the scale looks right. Then put MP-09 Rodimus next to Faith Leader and it also looks right. I have been meaning to take pictures and post them, because it really looks cool.

If the figure was cheaper I would buy it, but $250 for a figure that is smaller than the MP-04 which was priced at $180 originally just doesn't sit with me.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with these feelings.

I did like the videos that revealed the figure, but I guess, I'll just have to wait and see how the next little while plays out for this figure. I probably won't buy it anytime soon.

What the heck is going on with the Tokyo Toy Show transformation video? Stop teasing us with the back of someone's head, shaky camera work, and a transformation hidden behind the trailer.

Since you don't have MP9 to compare, MP10 will he a head taller than Grimlock. Here's a pic of my MP comparison, so just imagine MP10 instead of MP9. That should give you some idea of MP 10 height.

This mold is a thing of beauty. It makes the previous MP Prime mold look like a stack of blocks.

This looks superb. The original MP Prime is truly a Masterpiece but I actually prefer the Masterpieces that are shorter and not as heavy.
I'd like to see a real video review before I'll pre-order it from Amazon.co.jp or Yahoo.co.jp though.

I really can't wait to get this figure. Between him and the 2nd run of Rodimus, I will be in Plastic Heaven…and broke.

OK so it looks like instead of a sliding mechanism the forearms open and the hands fold in revealing truck parts; there's no rotating at the waist required for transformation; the matrix chamber is on the same hinge as the head and that all folds forward; didn't see how the wheels come out but there's more truck parts connected. I'd really like this but still not at that price.

I will be selling my MP-04 Prime for this!!!

The forearm/hand transformation seems to be very busy in contrast to MP1 which just use a quick sliding mechanism. Since the head fold down from the front, I'm just curious where's the seating for Spike to sit on come to play.

im likeing it more and more with every thing we see, which is pissing me off more and more >< it seems to follow most of its cues from the origional mp prime mold, with more parts added for a better looking figure and vehicle mode. not bad.

though the bot mode is much smaller, the truck mode doesnt seem that much smaller, so it should still fit in well with my alternators/binaltechs

Starting to look great, still too expensive.

Its nice but its WAY too expensive for what it is. Its so small!
