New Official Macross/Robotech Thread (25th Anni Valks added)

Welcome to the General Discussion area where just about anything goes! This area is designed to discuss all matters and does not necessarily have to be Transformers related. Please keep topics relevant.

Heh damn cool :)

I myself don't collect valkeries (yet) though. I only recently started with gundams and only even more recently gotten myself into Macross.
Are Fast packs already assembled and painted? (My internet is doing wack things at the moment, can't see the link you provided)

you mean on the 21?yeah, they are snapon armor parts so you can decide to just have a "naked" 21 or dressed with the FAST pack parts.ACS did a gallery of the 21 FAST pack edition earlier on in the thread if you want to see how that looks. :)

I haven't played the robotech games myself (I so far succesfully steered clear from anything robotech) but no, it's a different game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Super_ ... _2_game%29
And this is probally the game you were talking about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robotech:_Battlecry

All I can say of the Macross game that it's damn good. A true pleasing for the fans

While the Robotech games didn't set the world on fire if you use cheat codes up the wazo it isn't that bad to play. ACS turned me on to Battlecry.

I've been following the mospeada/new generation news for the past few months (as you've seen) and while there hasn't been any major developments couple things have come to light particularly on the Aoshima/Toynami front.
As was known already, Aoshima is re-releasing the Toyami Alphas in Japan with some rockets and mold fixes. However, it seems that Aoshima will be bringing out Toynami's Beta! So you might want to hold onto those Alphas or perhaps cash in on the Aoshima fix. It seems that CM's still has some design flaws...

Also did anyone pick up the Ghost? Anyone ordered the SV-51 or Max & Millia re-issues?

Yes, yes, and no since I already bought a Max used on Ebay. I haven't gotten the ghost yet but he is coming soon in a big BBTS order. By the by Sue's ride armor, if it is released, will be out the middle of next year. Almost a year after the release of Shadow Chronicles.

Awesome. Tell us all about them when you get them ;) Still curious to how they measure up. Especially at that price for the SV-51.
Oh so Toynami is adding Sue to the Masterpiece Cyclones? that's cool. that makes for now right? Scott, Rook, Lancer(?) and Sue. I know BBTS has Scott, Rand and Lancer listed but wasn't the line-up changed? Or am I confusing this with Beagle's?

I'm not sure about the line-up of the Toynami cyclones right now (due 2008 1st Quarter). However, Beagle has stated that they will be releasing all 4 types of the cyclone for an early 2008 release for Japan.

I misread what you wrote and took it to mean that you knew something we didn't. Whatever is available for preorder at BBTS is all that's been announced for now, and judging by Toynami's history, all that will ever be made.

I did some digging on these Masterpiece Cycolnes cause I knew I heard from somewhere they'd be doing the others. Seems if we track back abit it was stated by figures.com that Rand would be replacing Sue. So that's Scott (november) Lancer (Q1 2008) and Rand (Q2 2008). However Roboblog III: Odyssey states in it's upcoming releases section (right hand column) that Rook will be released in 2008 along with a skull squadron alpha and Maia's Alpha are due 2007? :???: I know about Maia but that skull Alpha is news to me...if it does come fruition.

Just a black repaint of the VFA-6Z by the looks. And Maia's Alpha in the non discrete pretty pink :P Image

How does the quality shape up on the VF-0A? Better than VF-0S? What do you think of it Chuckdawg1999?
Just remembered the transforming DYRL Macross brought out by High Wave(?) at the beginning of the year. Did anyone ever buy that?

The VF-0A will be the first 0 series I own. I'm waiting for my personal shopper, Air Commander Starscream, to tell me the VF-0S is safe to buy.

Well got some news for ya'll. Got my VF-0A with Ghost Booster so expect some pics soon but before that I got pics coming of my YF-19 with the Foldbooster set. Oh yeah time to boogie.

So in September Yammato will re-release the VF-0S with it's own Ghost Booster so I'll be all over that bad boy.

Not until the fall if at all. apparently the 1/100 did not sell like Toynami hoped. Any word on exclusives for the SDCC?

The Mospedia toys will be out in the fall side by side with the Shadow Chronicle stuff.
