Moonbase2 wrote:You know what bothered me about the episode she died in? Suddenly she was all smiles and going on about "we're gonna try to have a baby!" I guess the writers wanted us to be especially sad when she died. I just found it kind of annoying.

I think it was an attempt to trow the viewers.........
first most of the "die hard" Trekies had knowen that it must be Dax who's dieing because of all the leaked info so I think they were trying to cast a small bit of doubt in their minds but it didnt work in my opinion.
Second I think they were trying to keep the general viewer that didnt go online or conventions guessing about who it was going to be that dies.

Worf would of possibly killed that Dax off
Wheeljack35 wrote:I remember Dr Crusher once telling Worf it was a good day to live
Moonbase2 wrote:Well, I was all of 13 when she died, so I didn't exactly troll the internet or go to conventions. So I lived in fear for a week that Odo was going to kick the bucket (har har)

That would have made things hilarious, especially if Worf started to feel attracted to the new Dax or the other way around.
I thought she was a good character and I personally liked her more than her successor

Remember that scene with Quark and the Cardassian? It's actually painful for me to watch. Speaking of creepy and awkward, a pervert from high school won't leave me alone on messenger! I blocked him and he uses a different name! Any of you want to be a hired goon for me?
Moonbase2 wrote:He was an old friend I used to hold dear. Last year after not speaking for years we made contact, but I wanted it to be platonic. He just turned into a total perv. He is trying to guilt me into talking to him and unblocking him. But I have more respect for myself. I got rid of him. (thank god)
Oh, and he just pops up out of nowhere, I get no warning. I have yahoo.

Ok, I just downloaded Yahoo Messenger to figure this out
Click Messenger, go to preferences
Go to ignore list and select the option that says ignore anyone who is not on my messenger list
Hope that works

Insurgent wrote:Here in the UK, we had no warning or special trailers about the ep where Dax died. I had seen an image of Ezri, but I didn't know her name, so I just thought they were getting a new person. When Dax died, I wasn't expecting it, though I didn't feel for her. Jadzia was a better character, but Ezri was cuter. Ironically, Trials and Tribulations did, that's how I knew I MUST tape it.
Flashback was an anniversary ep? Didn't know that. I thought it was the one where Janeway was talking about her ancester who owned the bookstore at the turn of the mellenium. Forgot anything else about it though. How did Flashback screw up continuity?
BTW, Tim Russ also plays the goon in the TNG ep Starship Mine. He gets clobbered by a saddle.Every time I see him, even outside Trek like in Die Hard 4, he is always sporting the same haircut.
OptimusN1701 wrote:Wheeljack35 wrote:Well she is offline plus she could use MSN AIM or ICQ
True, I personally go with AIM
She may not want to switch though if she has friends that dont use/like the other services, or if she doesnt like them herself
Though in my opinion Yahoo Messenger looks like a poor man's Aim
But that just me
