who knows when the toyline comes out its possible we'll see some classic characters.I'll tell you i starting to get sick and tired of the damn re-paints every frickin toyline.i'm sick and tired of the same figure god damn thats whats dooming the transformers.I will say this will eventually grow on me and i will make sure that i buy every single figure that comes out and not leave a single figure for anyone.

Well, it actually is more recognizable as Prime than the movie version.

Anyway, I have very, very, very little hope for this thing, but I'll hold off on actual judgement until there are plot points known. The story is what what gives the cake it's flavor.

Out of all the Optimus Primes, I've ever seen.....This one is 110% Pure Grade BullS***. Seriously, at least Bays Prime looks remotely normal. Hell even though they don't look much like the orignals I like the overall movie design.

But this...this looks like batman in an optimus prime outfit....seriously...wtf? I want some of the LSD these artists have.

Animator 1: Woooahh...dude....what if like...we made prime...look like a dude...

Animator 2: Wicked! Pass the Hydro...and hey bob you done with that LSD yet?

wow are they trying to make me not watch transformers anymore? i'm not watching a show about everyday heroes. all i want from TF is giant **** robots beating the piss out of each other

From what it sounds like, 'Animated' is the show aimed at younger kids, much in the same respect as Krypto. I wouldn't worry, there's still 'Heroes'.

Bet this is making some regret hoping for a western version after all the anime ones. Should of been expected if CN was getting it, hardly anything they make these days looks good except on a few occasions. I was hoping for something like BW and BM's style since if it was 2D and not anime it would be poorly done. Atleast this makes the movie characters look a whole lot better in comparison.

Think Galaxy Force be the last TF series I watched.

Maybe if we get real lucky and pray it will either get cancel or that was not really what it will look like.

I don't know why so many are surprised. It's CARTOON NETWORK afterall. Look what they come out with, cheap, crappy cartoons like:

Camp Lazlo
Billy and Mandy
Ed, Edd, and Eddy
Dextor's Laboratory
and so on...

Now, some of those shows may not be so bad (Dextor's Lab is pretty funny sometimes), but animation wise, they're all garbage. Adult Swim animation...even worse. CN is hooked on that, and it is so sad how low Western Animation has sunk because of it. CN has gone out of their way to crush Justice League Unlimited, and FF4, two very well animated cartoons by comparison.

This new poop isn't even Transformers to me. That's an abomination. Heck, even Abomination is shaking his head with disgust.

I sincerely hope Hasbro pulls the plug on this-thing. I would have expected movie-inspired cartoon given the immense popularity and media coverage of it. I know nothing of the Transformers Heroes cartoon, but I hope it will be made at least, and will be a LOT better than Picasso Prime, or whatever you want to call it.

It is really, really strange that we're not getting a Bay-movie inspired animated series, except that the Autobots are mostly the same names (OP, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Rachet, plus new characters). Although, having remained mostly spoiler-free, I may have missed some connections that are obvious to others.

Ok, I just read that it about Autobots against evil humans? Well, it's for kids 10 and under. So, why did they decide on that formula of robots against bad humans? Sounds so lame. Why do our young kids today get so dumb down? What they can't handle the violence of robots fighting each other, with some occasional bad anything or human? The animation is horriable, but the story line is the most insluting.

Well I just read these last 2 pages, and I'm not too terribly upset anymore.. I mean sure its a cartoon for kids, but then thats why I won't really have watch it..

I do hope that Transformers "Animated", and Transformers "Heroes" are not the same thing.. but judging from the story idea.. they are "heroes" fighting crime in "Animated" so my hopes for a 2nd series have been diminished!!I doubt we have 2 series... i think they originally went with a show that was gonna be more along the lines of RID, or something like G-01, then they changed their minds, went with the crappy art style look, and called it "Animated"

No new Optimus Prime Fire Truck!!
No New 2D Animated Adult friendly Show, No Mainframe 3D Animation...bots that look like picasso had a Brain anurism...

Ok....I'm still mad, but mostly disappointed...

WTF are they thinking???? :sad:

Strange how everyone seems to love these little hyper-stylized robot heroes figures but hates the new hyper-stylized cartoon look..

The total lack of optimism here is why I haven't posted in aeons...

i didn't notice that until now sliverblade does that mean he will become OPTIMUS TICK

if they end up getting animated made in Japan they would either have to have there own story made up or the show will be heavily edited to get rid of references to bad things that children shouldn't know about i mean look at what they did with Megaman NT Warrior they changed the names of characters just cause they had (apparently) offensive words in them like how they changed needleman to spikeman cause they thought kids would think they were referring to drug needles :shock:

i got this from wiki (Among one of the more notable edits made was the editing out of words such as "fire," "bomb," and "napalm," which were thought to be inappropriate for younger viewers. As a result, the names of FireMan, BombMan, and NapalmMan also changed)

yes i know that the world has been changed after 9\11 but come on why take censorship so far that the word fire cant be in a kids show

While this new show is intended for kids, adult fans who grew up with TF & still love it, even with new productions, need to be taken into consideration as well.

Often, especially nowadays, while exceptions will always exist, it sure seems like "kids show" translates to dumb show. Yeah kids obviously aren't fully mature yet, but c'mon companies, kids are still intelligent!

While nothing can ever suit everyone, but it seems like instead of sticking to one type of audience & making a good production for a particular audience, the common denominator rules EVERYTHING & specific audiences are pushed to the curb!

Talk about making animated characters that are impossible to make Transforming toys from. Look at Prime, some how the lower part of truck mode gets thiner when going into robot mode and his arms don't even look like they're attached.

I'm betting if toys are made there are going to be alot of non transforming toys that just look like the cartoon models and then there will be the transforming toys that will look 10 million times better.

The show itself apart from the designs might not be that bad. It's the same people who did Teen Titans and TheBatman so could go either way. Teen Titans has a few good episodes and so does TheBatman. Overall though the animation of Teen Titans really pulls me out of any story they're trying to tell and I hate how they changed the backrounds of every single villain in TheBatman.

ok alot of ppl are going to hate me for saying this but im kinda exited for this show to come out its a diffrent spin on transformers and it may not be that bad i still love g1 and the rest for the generations maybe you all could give this new series a chance the style its new and its for younger kids but im going to set my dvr to record it maybe it will get the younger kids into transformers like beast wars did for me since i wasnt old enough to see g1 on the tv but when i got into it i started to watch the old ones and my love grew for transformers maybe this will help the youth of the nation to learn to love them too
