I doubt it. Cartoon Network doesn't make shows that cater to the kindergarten crowd. They support shows that focus on the 8-14 age group.

Honestly, and you can quote me regardless of how it turns out, I think this will end up being almost as good as Beast Wars. Everyone is just over reacting from a piece of promotional art. We've effectively seen nothing in terms of what the final show will look and move like.

You know what's really sad? When you compare the two, Movie Megatron beats G1 by leaps and bounds. There's something inherently cartoony about the G1 model, and something freaky and downright sinister about the Movie model. Fortunately, the toy of the Movie model actually fills it's shoes a little better than it's G1 counterpart. It's a nice, even look and solid. G1 was thighs spread eagle and stout.

This...is terrible. We thought the other cartoons were bad? No, this one's awful. Even if the storylines would be Emmy winning, the fact that you can't watch this without wanting to retch, just goes to prove that no matter what you put into something....if it looks like sh*t on the outside, no one's going to give a damn.

Teen Titans style works for TT. Not for TF. It's a cryin' shame that it's come to this. I can only hope the toys look better, because if they don't....the movie line is where I call it quits. (Until the next movie, and whatever else might come after this dreck.)

Only the G1 pureist? I don't think so. People in general complain how ugly bayformers are, and how they look less like a Transformer and more like a roach with morphy metal parts.

But yes, this thread is interesting. We are passionate about Transformers.

As much as I hate to say it, I can see how easily that toy could be turned into a toy... Transformation similar to G1 Optimus, only flip down the 'tummy grill' and there'd be another on the top to take it's place... Kinda looks like headlights under the windows... It ...could... work...

Ok, I got an idea. Why don't someone who makes those toons that are for adults and do a Transformer one. Let's see more violence and stuff. Let's see an adult version toon. Now that would be killer!!

again excuse me if this has been said already, but remember the whole transformers universe came to be for the sake of selling toys. And thats what each and every reincarnation of the brand is all about at the end of the day. so if this is the kind of animation that is all over the place at the moment then why wouldn't they go with it? hell if it's what the kids like!

Why do people keep saying this is Teen Titans style? This is nowhere near Titans styled. It's not even Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends styled. Or Clone Wars for that matter. Those shows had halfway decent proportions. This is oddly misshapen and freakish. So please don't compare it to those damn decent cartoons.

yes, they're most likely gonna make toys for the new tf series coming out next year. but if the toys are shaped like the cartoon is, the the toys are gonna be impossible to transform. if they make a transforming toy for the series

at first when i saw that there was going to be a new transformers cartoon i ws pissed becuase it is on cartoon network and i only have basic tv. but then i saw the pictures and now i think i'm glad for having basic tv.

No. I would have liked to have seen a series written by american writers and animated by a japanese company, like in the good old G1 days.

This looks like trash, if the ad is any indication of the actual series.

I would love a darker version for adults, I always thought Transformers could be a very violent, sad or tragic. Could be a good drama.

the only way there's gonna make an adult tf show is if we say something. then it'll most likely be jap anime and be on adult swim.

Because the last time they did, Hasbro took heat for killing Optimus Prime and having someone drop the s-bomb, that's why.

how could someone walk into their bosses office, and say: I have a great idea for the transformers series. look at....THIS!!!" and think it was a good idea? man thats crazy. TF, as much as I love it, is my only childhood memory that seems to get worse everytime it is reiterated. At least BW and the others I could see how SOMEONE would like it, and I thought they were ok, but not better. This is, literally, the WORST thing I have ever seen in my life as a nerd.

and not to start a flame war, but I cant resist: now all the people who champion(ed) Bays designs know how the G1ers felt.
