You really didn't think you were going to get an ADULT version of Transformers did you? Not one version has ever been adult. Look at some of the early episodes of Beast Wars, a vast majority of them were aimed at kids. It was only towards the tail end of the first season and the following seasons that the more intricate plots were introduced and some adult humor thrown in, once they realized that "Hey, we've been noticed by an actual community of fans!". Get real guys, if you want "realistic" Transformers aimed towards adults, stick to the comics.

Firstly, I admit, I saw that tidbit about the new leader leak from TFormers and can't seem to find it. But secondly, the old G1 cartoon didn't have fluidity, either, but some people still maintain that the greatest characters came from that era. How is this accomplished? I'm not quite sure myself, but there are fans that'll swear by it.
Kranix-76 wrote:My greater point is that right now, everyone is leaping off the damn deep end over nothing, which, granted, it's the Internet. I'm already fightin' a battle I'll lose by default. But when Beast Wars first came-up, the fandom went insane because "Transformers are vehicles, not @$%@!*$# animals!", and looked what happened there. We have no freggin' clue about this show other than a picture and a pitch to possible sponsors. Yet, the length of this thread is just astounding.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Its joining the 'kid-friendly' lineup at CN...ah hell wasnt I a kid back in the 80s..yes I was and I enjoyed my bots a lot!
Oh and its not just CN(although its more of them then anyone else)WB has thrown away shows like Static Shock(although I think something else had a say in it) and X-men: Evolution! Those were two good shows thrown away! This country is so cencership oriented that that all the good shows r going down tubes! The TF's image is gonna take big hit after this show comes on! Bring back Armada!Autobot032 wrote:Senor Hugo wrote:I was thinking about it. And any cartoon that us adult fans get, that we actually end up liking, ends up getting canceled, lets look at CN's track record.
Justice League - Canceled
Teen Titans - Canceled(just when it was starting to get good)
Megas XLR - Canceled
He-man - Canceled
Dexter's Lab - Canceled
Samurai Jack - Canceled
PPG - Canceled
Reboot - Canceled
Duck Dodgers - Canceled
I know theres more, but now lets check out the crap they show now.
Ed Edd & Eddy - Still on
Code Lyoko
Storm Hawks - Didn't they already make this show, only they were racing on Dragons?
Squirrel Boy
Class of 3000
The only show on CN anymore is Billy & Mandy, and I got a feeling thats on the way out.
But apparently the CN motto is "if it's worth watching, we'll cancel it."
Wait...Cartoon Network is owned by Fox?!
...seems like it, doesn't it?
Autobot Skids wrote:Well - I think you need to look at this from a marketing perspective...
First of all - the market for Transformers has become radically divirsified over the last few years; and that's been reflected in the toys where you always had the "main line" cartoons, the "reissues" for the older die-hard fans, and things like Alternators/Binaltech for those who insisted on realistic but modern toys using engineering to the max...
So where does the new toon fit in?
If you look at the majority of shows for kids these days on CN, that IS the prefered aesthetic style.
...
And I'll be interested in seeing how they do the toys for these - my guess is that the transformations will be silly as well...
I think this is exactly everyone's point.Loki120 wrote:You really didn't think you were going to get an ADULT version of Transformers did you? Not one version has ever been adult.
