Lovely dogs, welcome to the site.![]()
So, aside from my comic, I've discovered I have a knack for digital poster making in photoshop, literally I had 45 minutes to make a poster for prom, completed it in 38.

I do freelance translation and writing, and while the first is mostly on whatever the job might be, I also translate poetry as a 'spare-time' thing (I regularly contribute to this online publication: http://thenorwichradical.com/arts/).
"We'll Die Apart" that is your translation, yes?

Sorry I might have missed it but, what was your first play? Also what is the potential second play?

They both sound interesting and fun; Esp the Suessification of Romeo and Juliet. Best of luck to you on getting the part!

Some unusual taste there, Naruto and Bleach are pretty far removed from the other 3. Well, less so gantz, but Golgo 13 and Crying freeman are classics. I'm guessing you like the violent hardboiled thriller kind of stuff. Any other favourites?

Yeah some others I forgot to mention are Black Lagoon, Desert Punk, Angel Beats, Requiem For The Phantom (both the OVA and especially the full series), Madlax, both the full series and later OVA's of Hellsing, Elfen Lied, the OVA movie Ninja Scroll (after all the years it has been I read they are finally working on a script for a second one)and of course they seem out of place but I also like Ikki Tousen, Negima, Love Hina, Ah My Goddess, To Love Ru and Qwaser Of Stigmata. I am a big fan of the Rosario + Vampire manga series but couldn't stand the anime adaptation since they made it way to campy and didn't stick closer to the stories from the mangas since they left alot out of the animated series. Speaking of which even though I loved the Gantz animated series I prefer the manga alot more since the animated series didn't stick to the stories enough either and left alot of characters out of it. Not to mention the cliffhanger ending of the show unlike the manga series it was based off of that has a good ending to it from what I have read about it on wikipedia. I haven't read all of them yet since the last few volumes haven't been printed in the USA yet.
MemphisR56 wrote:Obs you support by buying the volumes, but have you tried reader sites like mangafox to catch up with the ending?
Me, Grimlock! wrote:Ok, I'm necrobumping. I know. I'm bowing my head in shame even as I type this. But I'm extremely giddy, and this is the thread I originally touted this on, so here it is. This is my biggest non-TF interest.
The book I talked about earlier in this thread finally made it into publication! Check it out! I'm ecstatic right now! In a Galaxy Far, Far Awry issue 1: Serial Fiction Sideshow What's more is issue 2, Home Sweet Home Invasion is coming really soon, and I've got plans to get issue 3, Technophobia, out there almost as really soon.
I'm even doing some conventions and I'm gonna be calling around to book and comic stores for book signings. This thing I thought might never happen...just happened!

Congrats man! What a great accomplishment!

Also, the reason I commented is I am a huge mystery science theater 3000 fan. And incase you don't know, Joel Hodgson is on kickstarter trying to fund a new reboot of mst3k. Please check out his kickstarter page and read about it. It ends on Dec 11. And if you don't know what mst3k is, tune in on thanksgiving for the turkey day marathon.

@Bluestreak00: If you want, I can take a look at your story, give you some feedback. I offered if to SlyTF1 and could only read a few pages, but what I can do is take a quick scan and point out some things if you'd like. If you're interested, PM me.
I also do fiction-writing tutoring and prose writing tutoring (two separate things) if you're interested. It's usually for local people so I can meet face to face, but I can do this on Skype too.
@everyone: And, seriously, if you don't know Mystery Science Theater 3000, it is absolutely on par with anything you've ever laughed at before. Cheap budget, but the laughs are incredible. When filming the movie, they had to actually cut down on jokes so people would stop laughing and follow the plot. They had to hold back! So, seriously, give this project a shot at the link Bluestreak00 gave here. It's worth your five seconds. No doubt.Love that show.
