I would have noticed, Randy, but for some reason I stopped receiving email notifications for that thread, and only just now realized that I was two whole pages behind in catching up with it.Powered Convoy wrote:I posted this a couple of days ago in the Selects thread:

In the year 2011, the battling Chief Convoy and Galvatron were called into another dimension by a mysterious existence!
Galvatron: Wha? So have Convoy and I died!?
Thus the two were shown the future they were destined for!
Convoy: Ah...
Galvatron: Enough play! I'll kill you first!
Convoy: Wait, Galvatron! Maybe this being is...
Primus: Children of the stars... the world is now in crisis...
Galvatron: What is this!?
Convoy: The Earth!
Primus: Bring back the proper history with the power of the Silver Matrix!
Convoy: Ah... I feel it! The "Power of Stars"!
Convoy: Transform! Is this a vision of the future... a prototype, in another words?!
By the light of the Silver Matrix carrying the power of universal creation
Convoy's body was upgraded!
Galvatron: Convoy, you fool! He said you will die in the future!
Behold! This form is the new Star Warrior, Star Convoy!
Star Convoy: You do not understand, Galvatron!
Star Convoy: Silver Matrix Combine!
Star Convoy: Matrix Weapon, Big Bang Cannon!
Star Convoy: Even if this body will be sacrificed in the future, let it! If I am to die with a shining star on my chest, I think I will be proud of it.
Star Convoy: That is the Cybertron soul!
Star Convoy: The light is extinguished... did it leave for another world? Thank you... Primus.
Thus, the world's crisis was ended... but...
Galvatron: I see now! The deaths the future will bring! Everything is my destiny and also that power of stars.
Galvatron: I, Galvatron, have this!

The term used in the text is 同型 (dōkei), meaning "same type". "Brother" was used to convey the sense that the two merely share the same body-type.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Turtler and Halfshell are "brothers", though in what context (familial, in-arms) remains to be seen
Space pirates, basically, like those from Beast Wars Second who were their own unit.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Seacons are a Decepticon clan of some sort?
I've my own theory on this. With this being Galvatron from between G1 Season 3 and The Headmasters, and his having his Angolmois Energy extracted from his body in this comic, I'm wondering if this might be an attempted explanation for why Galvatron is no longer ragingly mad during The Headmasters. As though to say the lava bath on Thrull might have actually just destabilized the Angolmois Energy within him, driving him insane in the first place, and now with its removal here this could explain why he's much more sound-minded in The Headmasters.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:With the Unicron energy siphoned from Galvatron, he may revert to a Megatron-like form. This sets the stage for the upcoming Super Megatron toy.

Unless they do an Ultra Megatron at Leader size its going to be funny to match him up against Star Convoy when he is one size class too small.

Alternatively, to mention Galvatron and Angolmois Energy to me, signifies perhaps a new toy for this guy:

Technically there is nothing which says his Super Megatron form is weaker. It just seem to imply his appearance and personality are reverted to his Megatron self. This isn't the Unicron trilogy where a 'Galvatron' is just a repaint and upgrade to his Megatron state.

It's not about weakness. My first foray into Transformers was The Movie, wherein to the bright eyes of a 3/4yo, Galvatron was superior to Megatron in every single way. For the most part, Simon Furman agrees with that too. There is only one consistently good Megatron (Yesss) and he was never associated with a Galvatron.

Albeit, this transformation into Super Megatron will only be a temporary thing since Galvatron has to get back to his own universe in his Galvatron form in order to still be Galvatron when he partakes in the events of The Headmasters.Skritz wrote:So I re-read the comic properly now and Galvatron is losing the Angolmois energy he has in him (presumably it was infused into him when he became Galvatron, which make sense). This does make sense for him to revert into some other form of Megatron. A form of Megatron which is still more powerful than his original form but not twisted and corrupted into the Unicron-created maniac that is Galvatron.
This also make the figure being a retooled Galvatron even more meta.
