Don't you need character development in order to actually be a character in a movie?

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

Sly I don't think you know what character development is.
I like the movies but even I can see how the robots have no character and only Optimus shows a little bit
But in no way does any of them have development.

Optimus, Bumblebee, Megatron, Sentinel, and Lockdown all had it. The Fallen had a bit of it and so did Crosshairs, just a tiny bit. You can't tell me none of them had any development.

You're right, their development involved killing or dying.

what about the fact that optimus' opinions of humans flux all the time and lockdown is immensely dedicated to his creators, or Sentinel had his mission of saving his planet and that was the only goal?

I'm sure by the end of AOE, Optimus still hates humanity. He just knows it's his duty to protect them, no matter what. After all, the reason the Decepticons came to Earth in the first place was his fault.

Except it was Megatron's fault since he started the war and got to Earth first.
And it was The Fallen's fault for both turning Megatron to the dark side and for building the Great Machine on Earth in the first place, which is what drew the AllSpark to the planet. Optimus never knew of the Star Harvester being on Earth or that the AllSpark would be drawn to it. When he launched it, he shot it into the Alkaris Anomaly, a wormhole in space that has a potentially infinite number of exits, meaning that enters it gets spit out at random into ANY place in the universe. It just so happened that the AllSpark was still drawn to the Great Machine on Earth regardless of where it got spat out.mirageandjazz1197 wrote:SlyTF1 wrote:william-james88 wrote:Well to be fair, tha autobots started in AOE by not caring about the humans. See my previous post right before this one. He did not send it to Earth, he sent it to the Alkaris Anomaly. The AllSpark went to Earth on its own, drawn there by The Fallen's Great Machine.SlyTF1 wrote:But Optimus sent the Allapsrk to Earth. That's cuz the movies can't be bothered to go that deep into its own lore, leaving that task to fall to the Movieverse comics and novels instead (back when those were a thing, anyway, in the pre-AOE years).william-james88 wrote:I watched all the films and I never got that story from them.

I know he didn't sent it to Earth on purpose. But if he hadn't jettisoned it off Cybertron, it never would have found its way to Earth in the first place.

If he hadn't jettisoned it, Megatron would have seized it and won in the end, and that's a BAD thing.SlyTF1 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:See my previous post right before this one.
