His robot mode looks amazing.

I wish they had nixed the Fort Max face mode, and crafted a more convincing, less brick-like alt mode.

Dayum! I've never plan to get this guy (not much a FortMax guy), but are those the final colors? Because they look so f**kin awesome, I might just have to get him =P~

This is looking GREAT, but it is also making my resistance to the Fort Max reissue erode :BANG_HEAD:

It looks like the Tank treads can detach. I just don't see how it's possible to have the tank treads attached in gigantic Headmaster mode.

Creating something like this only makes sense. If PE plans to create there own poseable 2 foot fort max bigger body.

I just don't feel comfortable spending $150 for this PE-DX03. somehow combining a highly articulated 3rd party toy with a 1987 brick former just seems wrong.

I can see why PE,Made that oversized gun for Warden. So it could be given to 1987 Fort max. It still looks terrible & oversized to use with PE Warden in any of his modes. Having a weapon bigger than the robot never looks good.

I'm really trying! But if BBTS knock another $30 off I'll probably bite, as that would cover a lot of the shipping costs :D

You don't have to use Warden as Fortress Maximus' head... It can just be an IDW FortMax. That's the nice thing about this project, you have options. And, just to make sure, I'm not trying to convince you are anybody to buy it. It's up to "you" to decide.

Also, BFG's have been common to any Anime inspired bots.

They certainly have a lot of coloured samples of the figure. I'm trying to not get too excited by the prospect of us potentially getting this guy early.

I can't wait until he's out in the wild. Hopefully we'll see a few fan-modes. The more I see it, the less I like the "tank".

This is looking like it's finished and ready for mass production, how can March be the release date!

According to PE themselves it's "late january". I don't mind it being march though, as long as the toy gets proper QC and all that jazz.

That sounds better. As for QC, if they are this far along hopefully that is all going well.

With all the stuff I'm after that is expected to arrive in March I hope PE can keep close to their release date.

Very nice!

I'll probably end up getting this guy if they knock down the price to ~$120-$130 or so. But I don't think I can stomach a G1 Fort Max. I've fastidiously stayed away from G1 figures, because once those floodgates are open...

Paying $140 for a Voyager sized Warden toy seems rather exspensive. Especially considering other 3rd party Leader sized toys like Hexatron & Quake wave sell for around $135. Other 3rd party Voyager sized toys these days barely sell for over $90

If PE wanted to grab more sales on this. They'd offer the Secondary option of just buying the Warden minus the big gun for around $90. Also offer buyers the option of just buying the big riffle gun minus warden for around $50.

I dunno, FP gets away with charging $60 for scouts and $150 for a small voyager. It's hard to price out third party items consistently. I think Fanstoys and MMC are on the lower end of the spectrum with regards to third party pricing.

Ditto - as saturated as the market is, pricing is very much dependent on the company.

FP Blastoff & Swindle both came with loads of combiners accessories & weapons, all of this helped bump up the price.

The FP Stunticons are each about Five inches tall,They are all almost deluxe scale. Various Hasbro deluxes like 1.0 Rodimus is Five ince & a Quarter inch tall. 3rd party combiners are tripple changers, with a robot, alt mode & combiner mode, this bumps up the price.

I would not go so far as to call the FP Stunticons triple changers, especially the legs ;).

How much did their not-Insecticons go for? They weren't triple changers. How about their Headmasters?
