Thank you so much for this. I can not wai for more details (such as pricing) to be released. It looks like the "backpack" on his figure will be removable so we can choose to have the IDW tank or the G1 headmaster ... which is pretty awesome!

Weapon: Atom-Smasher Cannon
I really like the transformation and the alternating accessories. But what is Perfect Effect's track record for QA and execution of their projects? I worry about parts connecting well and staying where they should. There is the potential for a lot of flopping parts if not done correctly.

I have PE's Arcee and Reflector set. Reflector was very small. (I wouldn't mind an upscaled version of that one...) Arcee's transformation is a little picky at times (nothing compared to most Alternity I have) and she's not a cybertronian convertible.

That's it.

I have no other complaints what-so-ever. QA has been really good. Fit and finish, excellent! Extra weapons? Loads! PE is one company I forget to talk about when we debate MMC, TFC, and FP. IMHO, they absolutely belong in that conversation. I look forward to Cerebros!

*Double-checks* Ah, thanks. And scaling with a DVD of my own... Voyager or slightly bigger, methinks. Good size for a Classics Fort Max for me. I don't need him to be huge, to be honest.

Umm.... what is that alt mode? looks very weird... but it is a triple changer! =D I feel like hes kind of stubby. I wonder if he'll look leaner in person. I will keep my eyes on this.

Price wise for the size and for the fact that its PE, I fear he'll be north of $150

Yea they do - they put out really solid work. I think it's just that we haven't seen anything super splashy from them in a while.

This might change that! We'll see how FP/ToyWorld Cerebros stacks up, but PE set a very high bar here.

That sounds messy. :P

That tank mode isn't exactly blowing me away, but I suppose it does look kinda fortress-y. As for that cannon! It makes City Commander's BFG look like a spit-ball straw. I hope there's a way it can be wielded in robot mode, maybe hooked on to his hip.

I'm annoyed that half of this things functionality is going to be wasted unless you have a G1 Fortress Maximus, but that's my own fault. I do however think that the colour scheme needs revisiting. There's too much green. ANd other things.
