the 10th day has come - woe betide those who do not heed the call of THE MINICON ADVENT CALENDER

Imagine opening up an advent calender and finding, rather than chocolate every day, you get a blindpacked minicon everyday between now and xmas.
The perfect countdown to christmas for any transfan?
Unfortunatly such an advent calender doesnt exist yet

But i can try the next best thing and give you a small photo gallery of some of the coolest rarest and best molds and colourschemes that minicons have to offer every day betweeen now and xmas.

Each one will be a suprise and ill not be repeating any molds.

Without further ado, door one on this imaginairy advent calender reveals.......

Mugen from the Calibur minicon team
Image
The calibur team were japanese store exclusives released during galaxy force/cybertron they were partnered with wingsaber who unfortunatly cannot use the minicons in any way (despite their new moldings)
Image
Image
heres what makes mugen differnt from any of the other repaints of the armada air militairy team.
Image
see the pegs in red on the back - they are the same standard size as all unicron trilogy weapons.
That really comes into play in the 3rd mode
The Claw
Image
Image

Finally the bot mode really shines on this minicon - great sculpt and proportions
Image
Image
Image

Finally allthough wingsaber, the intended partner cant use the minicons(lacking hands as he is) ive found a great match in coloursceme from a completely differnt line
Image

Thanks that concludes day one - stay tuned for the next suprise minicon tomorrow!!

That's a cool idea, some minicons are really, really cool, and I think some people don't realize that. Like this one. I can't wait to see the rest of what you have to show ;)^

That would be the perfect gift for TF fans. Shame it would probably cost a fortune. :?

You know what would really be an ace calender?

A calender that had a different alt every day, and MP Megs/Prime on the 25th. BAM!

Yah.. but that wouldn't fit into a calender.. and it would weigh around 20 pounds.

Great idea MegaDave. Mini-cons are awesome.

It'd be a man's advent calender of course :P

It could probably be about four foot tall- the tfs being in bot mode.

And it'd probably weigh about 60 odd pounds, considering an alt weighs about 3 pounds.

Worth it.

Another cool idea for an Advent Calender would be WST, but I don't think there are nearly enough for each day unless you use all the Prime repaints, that might be enough then.

Minicons are a cool idea though. You might also be able to do G1 minibots. Great idea!

Thanks for the support of my idea guys i really hope you enjoy whats instore further down the road.

Now for the next installment decemer 2nd means a whole new mystery minicon for you and today it is.............

X-dimension sea team Knot(engish name - stormcloud
Image

The x-dimension teams were limited edition but still retailrelease recolours of the micron legend minicons.
Every team was done bar the street speed team and the street action team was onl aailible with the magna convoy gift-set.

Image
Image

In case your not familiar with the mold, each member had a presure launching missile. when attached to a larger transformer the gave them increasd firepower
Image

I personally think the colours look great on this team rather dark and evil fr cute little minicons but it works in my opinion
Image
Image
This has gt to e one of the most poseable minicon teams perhaps second only to the street action team.
Image

And of course thi minicon makes the perfect companion to TIDALWAVE.
Image

After Looking thru these pics ive noticed Knot seems to have a very piratey personallity, in almost every pic hes in a can imagine him exclaiming YAAAAR, or another equally stereotypical pirate saying. When sat on Tidal wave it looks like hes been on the rum.

If you have any requests on things youd liek to see more of or an more shots of he minicons featured dont hesitate to ask, im making all the pictues myself so its no problem o include size comparisons or more action shots or what ever you wish.
Thats all for today - stay tuned for tomorrow when ill e featuring a chase minicon

Thanks dude - looks like ive got a subscriber YAY.

As an extra bit of fun all Armada/energon/cybertron era minicons have the minicon symbol :MINI: somewhere on them (classics generally dont and have faction symbols instead)
Each gallery will have at least one pic where the symbol is clearly visible - see if you can spot them all

You are correct its micron legend shockwave - the japanese release of armade tidalwave. Included because his nautical theme and purple and gun metal with orange accented colourscheme matches the xdimension seateam exactly.

What i find amazing is this is the first post actually commenting on anything actually in the photos directly

Micron booster 4 Chase figure. Detectus
Image
Unlike most chase figures that ive ot are chromed(and are very hard to keep in good condtion suffering from the same flaking that transmetals can) Detectus here is transparent and his sculpt detals actually look considerable better an on the black standard release
Image

Robot mode has barely any artculation (just at elbows )but still looks great on display

Okay thats your lot for today. Im seriously wondeing whether to continue this for the full 25 days given the small response and relatively small mount of views this feature has got. Bit disheartening when ive went to a lot of time and effort to photograph and put these galleries together.
All minicons featured you will not see aywehere else on this site in these colourschemes!

So please if you like what you see ive me some indication youd ike it continue. I dont want to feel like im pestering the board by beinginsistant in posting something people dont want/arent interested in

I was never a big fanc of the minicons, but these pictures are starting to show me that perhaps my bias is a little bit silly :-?

MegaDave, you are a Brit and thus surrender is not an option. You wouldn't want to be labelled as a Frenchman would you? Keep 'em coming, and let all of Seibs "ooh" and "ahh" appreciatvely

This is great man! If there was a TF advent calendar like this, I would so get it.

Whatever you do, don't stop giving us our daily minicon goodness!

Maybe you should try emailing Hasbro about this, they just might pick up on the idea, you never know :D
