Finally my Target discounted all the Shockwaves they have. I'm not sure if it's just for him or all WFC leaders, because they only had Shockwave.

It's on the shelf tag for the general assortment, so all figures count from Siege and Earthrise... But the fact mine had only had Shockwave as well makes that a moot point.

Still hoping for a hidden Siege Apeface to pop up somewhere, my Snapdragon is lonely.

Anyone with an Ollie's near them still looking for Siege Battle Masters should probably look there. I went to mine last night and they had a TON of Pteraxadons, several of Aimless, four Singes, four Rungs, and a couple Lionizers. All $3.99 each.
Finally got myself a Singe.

After debating with myself if it's worth it getting the Netflix Soundwave and seeing a video review, I'm sticking with with my Siege. I bought that upgrade kit so now Soundwave can become a Cybertronian boom-box!

I think it's much better than the "Earth mode" Netflix Soundwave because "Earth Mode" look good only from the front. The back is the same as the Siege. Plus with the upgraded Siege, you don't lose the spaceship mode.
I already got the perfect boomboxes with the G1 original and the MP. So the Siege fill the Cybertronian role perfectly. Especially because those two tiny parts turn him into a triple changer.
Also, no need to hunt down the cassettes twice.

Unfortunately not an Ollie's within 2000 miless of me. I got Singe shortly after he came out. Paid way too much ($15 shipped), but because he wasn't released properly, and wasn't being released again in ER, it was a calculated decision. I'm glad for those finding him now,but no way of knowing that 2 years ago.

That nice but the fact that it's basically a model kit, especially with all those tiny yellow clips is unforgivable for me.
But if you like motorised Transformers, I recommend the original G1 Skylinx. He's big, he roll, and he walk! Plus the reissue is not rare and inexpensive if you shop around.

Re: Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Discussion Thread

As Omega Supreme is my favorite TF of all time (obviously), I'd like to weigh in on the original toy. I thought it was pretty cool. I didn't have a lot of Transformers growing up, but I guess the idea of having fewer larger ones, rather than many small-average ones effects my collecting even to this day. I got the original toy when it was brand new in 1985 as a gift from my parents. I was 9. The Transformation was simple enough, it's just I remember that sliding the tank treads in and out of the tank to form the core of the legs was frustrating to the point that I eventually broke the motorized mechanism. So in tank mode he was fine (still rolled), and he could transform fine, but couldn't walk anymore
. Also the various smaller yellow clips on the back of his legs eventually all were lost. Other than that, I thought it was a pretty cool toy, but of course I am so happy to have the Siege one as a centerpiece of my modern collection.
.
Also I recall at an amusement park in the late 80's seeing the original Mechabot-1 in a gift shop. I don't remember the price, but because it was a japanese import I'm sure it was quite expensive. Because of the colors I thought it was a Guardian

What I do know is that that huge gun (as well as Ironhide's) looks good with a leader-sized figure, especially Magnus.
Also, I just decided to sell my MISB Siege Ratchet and I had no idea how much he pulls on the 2ndary market. I listed him and *poof* he was gone in minutes.

I have G1 Point-blank and he's fantastic, along g1 Crosshair. But the current Siege Crosshair is a fail. In a line of "mini masterpiece" Crosshair being an Ironhide repaint is lazy. I want a proper modern update, along Point-blank.

Here, we differ.
I really like Crosshairs, and don't mind at all that's he an Ironhide repaint. Why not? Many Transformers are the 'same model' as others, and there's an upgrade kit to make him look a bit more unique should you want that.

Siege Crosshair look nothing like the original. When all the other bots look perfect, even Springer, it's unfortunate for him. As if he's left out. And that upgrade kit does nothing.

I've fine with the Siege figure. Like with most Siege figures I think of him as his past Cybertronian form rather than his '80s "future Earth vehicle" form (or at least that's how I see all of the movie and later car designs).

It's not just the vehicle that is wrong. The bot mode too. He don't even have the right head!
So for me, it's not Crosshair, but his "brother" or something.
Come see my latest creation, the COMPLETE combiner team, Scorponok and his Pretenders, forming SHELLSHOCK
