The sky Hawk is supposedly 2009 Wave 1, so it's not supposed to be in retail until January 1st. I'm sure some have made it out already though!

I just got back from a last minute pre-holiday JOE hunt. I finaly got my hands on the Firebat and the white variant SHARC.

I've opened the Firebat thus far and I cna say it is impressive. While not as big as the Rattler or Nighthawk, it's a nice small interceptor-type vehicle.

AVAC is decent, however mine has a stiff left elbow and I was half afraid I may break his arm but it's bent now. You also have to kind of shift him around to get him inside since he's taller than the original Avac.

The SHARC Tooth is basically the SHARC but with the original coloring scheme. The coloring may be a little off from the original due to the plastic. I have no original to make a comparison. Deep Six, however, is a big disappointment. He's basically a brick and the only movement you can get is limited to the arms which can't even rotate on all axis. They definately could have made the legs move back and forward so he could at least sit down.

Really, most of the figures with the vehicles are so sub-par, I don't get why they even come with figures to begin with. Not all the original vehciels came with figures. They could save money and release those figs on single-card in much better quality and release the vehicles at $10 to $11 and sell many more that way.

I too just got the Firebat and SHARC and was wondering about the stickers. I remember reading that they don't stick on either one or both of the vehicles. Any details?

the ones I bought had no issues with the stickers whatsoever. my guess is fandom complaints about the sub-par glue caused the delay in the vehicles being put to retail. The stickers should go on fine.

See that gets my dander up a little, for the Joe guys Hasbro will delay a few things to address complaints and make improvements. For TF guys, you get what you get and you're expected to be happy. Well, such is life. I'll be popping my Firebat out tonight to see what's what. By the by I remember the SHARC being the same shade of white as the re-issue.

Well I just got back from Target and to my surprise, they had the Cobra Fang and Claw 2 pack. I haven't opened it yet, but I can tell the coloring of the reds is off on the Fang, more on the side of neon.

Wow, good eye. That's something I wouldn't notice. That reminds me of when we were little my older sister chewed the rotor blades. I still hold that against her all these years later.

Well at leats you won't have to worry about it this time around.

Anyays, I just opened the box and applied the stickers.

The Claw: I must say, despite being such a small craft, I actually like it. Depsite what the boxart shows, it comes wiht only two missiles. The handles are adjustable, as is the bar above. The good thing is you can have more than one with the DVD 5 pack of "The Best of" since CC comes with one in that set.

The Fang: I must say, it's nice. I do have a few gripes. First off the aformentioned coloring of the reds which if you don't really look at them, look red but are in fact slightly more the side of Neon red. The forward gun at the nose of the Fang can rotate on numerous axis which is a somewhat nice touch though there are a few slight issues with rotating the gun to it's side. The propellers can be spun by finger as well. It's just a pitty you can't press a button to get the props spinning with each press. You may run into some sticker issues on the rockets given you have to apply stickers to such a rounded surface.

The figures: The cobra pilot is clearly my fav of the two. It comes with the Cobra Trooper mold but with the pilots helm which is neon red. However, the diaper crotch still remains butyou cna still fit the pilot in there, though his knees will stick out. The Red Viper comes with most of the usual accessories a Viper would come with. The goggles have a hard time going on so you may want to leave them alone once you manage to get them on. The big gripe is the ankle joints, which I can't seem to get into a position to let the figure stand properly.

I really hope you're right. So did you keep the figures with the vehicles they were in or did you switch them for the vehicles they're shown with on the box? Personally I like the Viper in the Fang. What do you think of the colors? I've heard him refereed to as pajama Viper or something, I don't think he's that bad though.

I kept them as is for now. I think the "pajama viper", color-wise is fine. I just don't like that the ankles on mine won't adjust easily to allow him to make him stand up. His feet remain pointed. He goes look even better in the CLAW if you give him one of his guns to hold as he's flying around.

Honestly, the only thing the set could have gone without was the neon-esque colors on the rockets, pivoting gun, and some pained parts on the Fang that were supposed ot be red. We really should ask them to stop using neon on the next Q $ A before they go overboard.

Any word on the Arctic HISS, Stinger, and FLAK? Last I heard was that they've been postponed.

Oh, and if you haven't already, check out the Resolute figures. They're so awesome.

I believe I remember hearing they were postponed so that way people will have an easier time finding the older tanks at retail.

As for the vehicles. Nothing. my guess is they were delayed due to the movie. SO probably not until next year once movie stuff dies down and we get back to ME line and Resolute.

Well I was in TRU looking for DVD packs. I normally ignore the vehicles since it's usually the first wave only. As I was grabbing the Serpentor set I noticed way in the back the Fang/Claw set. Seeing as how I had to let it go from my BBTS POL I was glad to find it since it was one of the vehicle sets I truly wanted. Haven't opened it yet but things look good.

The one vehicle I keep trying decide if I want is the firebat. I hope someone who has picked this one up can give me there honest opinion on if it is worth picking up. I wanted claw but not the fang think you hasbro for putting the claw in the 80's dvd pack now if I could only find the stupid pack.

It's a nice interceptor-type craft. I'm loving it.

I came across the latter two a couple of months ago by chance. I think it's safe to say Habsro is having troubles with supply and demand with vehicles and DVD packs.

The firebat is a great vehicle and a nice cheaper alternative than the Rattler if you want to build a Cobra air force. The AVAC is ok but they're just nameless drones, nothing to get worked up about.

I saw and purchased the 80's pack the other day so it is out there. I think it's packaged one to a case with one Joe's greatest and two of Pyramid of Darkenss and Arise Serpentor Arise. Anyone find it odd that the Serpentor set was released before Pyramid but takes place after? Anyway you could probably buy the Fang/Claw sets since they are cheaper than the DVD's and sell the extra Fangs.
