Avatar Prime wrote:I found out that the S.H.A.R.C. and Firebat were in my area thanks to another member of Hisstank.com. Unfortunately the Firebat was already bought by the time I got there but they still had the S.H.A.R.C.
This vehicle takes me back to when I was a kid, I had both the vehicle and the version of Deep Six the figure is based on, though not at the same time. I think I may even still own the vintage Deep Six, just not sure where he is if I do.
I like the upgrade they gave Deep Six in way of articulation and looks pretty much just like the vintage version.
The pre-applied stickers look better then what was put on previous vehicles. There are a few spots where the stickers were a little pushed up, but pressing down on it fixed it.
I used to love using the vehicle in water when I was a kid, but I don't know how the stickers would stand up in water though so I don't think I'll let my cousin play with it in the tub.
According to the instructions you can still fit figures to the bottom of the vehicle as well.
They put the file cards on the bottom of the box instead of in a bag, so make sure you cut them out before throwing away the box.

I had the SHARC as a kid too. I always took it into the tub and using the pump with Deep Six was fun. I never knew it was a air and sea based vehicle though.

PROTIP: The SHARC's a flying submarine. The kids in the test group thought it was a flying vehicle instead of a submarine, so Hasbro just made it a 'flying submarine.' True story!
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Wow. I never knew that. How cool is it when ya think about it, a flying submarine? Now I'd like to see some later vehicles released, those with spring loaded weapons, and the jet with the light projector. I think it was called the Ghost Hawk or something.

But yeah, it was a Joe vehicle, it was brown(might have had some camo paint apps on it), it was a jeep type thing, it had a gun turret spot on the back. the doors were black and they swung up.

VAMP Mark II, perhaps?

yup, that's it, have they made a new version of that?

"Ghost Hawk" is what they're calling the 25th Sky Hawk.
The jet you're thinking of is the Ghoststriker. At least I think it is. Click the link to be sure.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:I also remember seeing a Joe and Cobra Jet that could shoot water. I think those are small enough to release and not be costly.

I think the GI JOE one was called the Liquidator and I forgot the name of the black Cobra one.

Dude I read the last few of your 25th comics. I laughed my ass off. Optimus Prime saying F Hollywood, classic. Clutch finally getting his new body, even better.

Avatar Prime wrote:I had an awesome day at Wal-Mart. First, I found the Black Head Destro with Iron Grenadier and grabbed him and a couple of Star Wars figures, expecting that to be all I would find this trip. I was wrong.
I had gone back to Toys while waiting for my family to finish they're shopping, in time to see a female employee putting out a case of G.I. Joe vehicles. I was able to score the A.W.E. Striker, Firebat, and F.A.N.G. with C.L.A.W. I put the other toys back, I only wanted the comic 2 pack for the IG, which I can just get when the one of him and the Viper comes out and the Star Wars figures I can get next time.
I didn't get to own any of these vehicles back in the 80s. My favorite has to be the Firebat.
Now all they need to do is give us a Terrordrome to go along with it.
I hope I can get another F.A.N.G. and C.L.A.W. I bet the C.L.A.W. will look cool next to the "best of" Entertainment Pack Cobra Commander and his jet pack.
Is the C.L.A.W. supposed to have only 2 missiles, or 4 like pictured?

Tons of changes to it (no dorsal gun, no retractable landing gear, extra hardpoints for missles where the landing gear used to be even though only two missles are supplied, no moving flaps, etc...), so I wonder if the old mold is history and they made had to make a new one.
Avatar Prime wrote:I can't wait for them, especially the Water Moccasin. It'll take some time for me to get used to the new names and and actually call them by that, if I ever do.
I'm looking foreward to the Water Moccasin the most out of the two, as I used to own one as a kid and want one again. I don't think I ever owned the Sky Hawk, so it'll be cool to finally have one.
I plan to take the Comic 2 pack Copperhead and put him in the vehicle when I get it, and put the Python Patrol Copperhead with my Python Officer. I'm not sure who I'll put in the turret though, maybe the first 25th Zartan where I'll need a place for him eventually when the 08 Wave 7 comes out.

I know I'm going to sound like a broken record but I'd like to see some of these vehicles come without figures so I can buy more than one and not get stuck with extras. I remember from the toon the Trouble Bubble and Water Moccasin were driven by everybody.

At least most of the Cobra ones have generic drivers, like the HISS Commander, the Stinger Driver, the Tele-Viper, etc.
