The person with the motorcycle alt that you speek of has more than likely already gone through the proper methods to get his losses back while you have not. That is why you are behind now.

As for losing your names... can't help you there. Some people have lost entire teams. Count your blessings and consider yourself lucky. (Not me) It could have been worse and there are methods in place to get things back to normal for everyone.

Stop pitching a fit and shoot OS a PM. Preferably a nicely worded one and he will be more than willing to help you out when he gets to you. He is a very busy man, you know.

I know for a fact their alt wasn't level 5 with 3mil+ exp.... no one makes 2mil exp in under 2 weeks...

You've made your point Prowl240z. There's two ways to go on about this: a) you can continue on dragging this out in public, ignoring what OS has told you in a PM which will lead you to a vacation or there's b) take this private by PMing me, OSA or AS with all of the details.

Meh I am done, Ill be back for v2, the game is so broken, right now I don't really care to play, (nothing aimed at OS its just not fun anymore) Ill be throwing my top bot in the arean regularly just to see if i can get top L5 now, but after this little thing I've lot all interst in playing... my goals wasnt big exp or stats it was being number one in my alt modes, and I've lost all the ones I had, and well the people that are now in possesion of said number 1 slot for the alt modes i coveted, after the free exp boost have left me in the dust quite literaly in a few cases by only few hundred k.... then with people blatently running around and stealing peoples names, clearly abusing a bug... yea like I said /rant see you in v2....

you cant let that get to you. i lost one of my names too, and it burns me up a bit to see people with canon names and you look at their arena history and they have some jerk off name that they used to use. there will always be people that try to take advantage of any situation to try to make themselves look cool or whatever that makes one for assuming the identity of another player. take down there name and call them out in v.2. seriously, its gonna be great actually having people to gun for. put a bounty on a person for being a scumbag. you can donate energon and everything. just dont let it burn you out. things go down and youve gotta get back up. thats what O.S. is doing. dude has spent WEEKS plugging in code and when it crashes, im sure he looks back and thinks, "great, ive got to backtrack. rewrite. beta test. pull teeth." we just have to reequip our bots and pm what exp, names and energon we lost. get off your butt, 'bot, and kick a few 'cons around. youll feel better. or just drink. quantity. that feels good too.

I'm just gonna wait till V2. I don't know why everyone is complaining about exp when you are gonna lose it all anyways. I am looking forward to starting over, as I only started playing V1 a year ago.

And in a month or so, depending on the volume of OS's work and any other "glitches," we'll all be L0s and stone broke anyway.

My opinion: I don't like canon names, 'cause as Ravage said: "You can have his name, but not his army". I like my fan characters better than any canon names I could use or steal.
New names, bigger universe. I don't use canon names, and my names haven't been stolen.


With this last compensation, my top two characters got 2.5 times more Xp than they had before the Big Oops, but I would continue to play even if this last compensation didn't happen.

Agreed, but I worked hard to use/keep my cannon names, and the fact that some scumbag uses a glitch to steal them from me, gets my beaver steamed......... Now if on the other had I was deployed to Iraq for a year and came back with and he had taken then that would of been fine.... but the fact is he knew what he was doing when he renamed all his bots... infact maliciously... now if it was some noob, with level 0s that had done it, not knowing or what ever, again i would of been fine, or even if he had asked, but when someone who clearly knows what they are doing, Steals cannon names from people...... /rant I am leave it alone, I am sure OS has something planned for all name theivery....

In the interests of fairness I feel I should point out that my top two guys (Steeleye and Nightlord) seem to have gained about 1.2 million of unearned XP each from this. Not a complaint, just an observation. Cheers for the hard work Seibs and OS.

EDIT: Errr never mind, everyone else on the team seems to have had a massive boost too. I guess if this is universal then my overall positions are relatively unchanged.

My name sake has seem to lost his "Ice Dragon" alt.
Is there anyway to restore this ? or do I have to wait for that alt to come back through rotation ?

I just noticed the new bots I had to create again all have quotes and bio's from other cons out there - no problem, but I didn't want anyone to thing I am plagurizing.

*Edit* Seen the faq. Get to keep Names and Bios on V2 (Yay) but loose alt modes. That is actually vaguely annoying as my first five characters (Including Big Grim, my Avatar if you will) are using Dinobot Alt modes. I have a reason for this.

As I understand it all the alts will be available in V2 but they will be on rotation, so while they might not be there at the start they should eventually appear.

The same thing has happened to me. I went through a really nice purple patch in May. But now I've lost some of my alts and also lost my place in the list of top 200 players when I was about 173rd in the table!

Oh well I guess this just means I have to work harder to get back there now
