You missed the joke.Sorry. It didn't look like one from my POV.
Burn wrote:Four weeks is forever? BAH! Some people are never happy. This game has gone for nearly four years with very little forward movement and now you people can't even wait four weeks for fresh gif's!

2) Had any new alts (submitted in New Altmode Tread) been introduced into rotation? I'm sure that everybody'd like that...
3) There are people who've won their unique alts or something, and don't want to lose 'em. Can there be made a special class of alts - say, Unique - which is permanently attached to this or that player and is always available for him, regardless of rotator? Such Unique alts would make great prizes for Alt hunts and such.
(I can propose a great deal more about such Uniques, but first one has to make sure it's possible at all).
Caelus wrote:I'd like to point out that players should only need time to test set ups if they've switched alt-classes, which is probably not going to be the case most of the time.
In fact, this gives me a crazy idea inspired by Blitzwing and Nightbeat in the new IDW comics.
What if players could change which particular alt they want for their bot under the Edit Menu? Basically, on the upgrade page they would choose their Alt-Class (e.g. Tank) and distribute their tactics. Then under the Edit Menu they could choose which of the available tank alts they want (e.g. Scorpion Tank) and fiddle with the color etc.
What I did was create a balanced number of core vs common alts for each faction.Elcor wrote:1) How the alts are classified? I know there's Core, Common and Rare ones... But why one alt is Core and the other is Common - it beats me. Can somebody shed some light on it?
Considering there never really was a "rotation" you will see plenty of new alts as the rotations begin. But in answer to your question, I personally didn't make any new alts.Elcor wrote:2) Had any new alts (submitted in New Altmode Tread) been introduced into rotation? Prize alts should be handled seperately from the alts in rotation but because mixing them up together was part of the problem with the old rotator code.Elcor wrote:3) There are people who've won their unique alts or something, and don't want to lose 'em. I'm doing a little of it.
And I'm slightly distressed, b/c when it was tied up between 1 and 2 I could have been happy either way. Monthly just seems so long, especially when there's only 2 months left!
Nice. It looks like this is going to go down to the wire between 4 and 2Ransom wrote:I'm with Burn and Waylander. Four weeks.
Resetting will be similar in the new system. In the Transformers universe, when bots go back to a protoform they have to get new alts.Palamon wrote:I voted for 2 weeks, that way growing bots get a good selection of alts when they reset and they don't have to hold on to a common one that doesn't pop up next month.
However, when the new system starts and if it allows you to reset without losing your alt, then 4 weeks would be perfect.
