Man that was one of the best ever.

There are just too many for me to go over but I love alot of those episodes!!!

the later ones become more and more engaging and the story becomes even more complex and interesting..especially as they delve deep into the Generation one stuff.. and that whole Optimus Optimal thing is supremely badass!!!

Hearing Gary Chalk shout "Transform and roll out!" was a nice detail as well. I liked how they really made it seem like Primal had taken on some of Primes personality because of him joining the sparks.

BW was damn good writing. Character development. Continuity. It was the first tf show I saw so the G1 references made no sense to me, but they were still nice to see the ancestors of these guys I had grown to love.

BM was not as good due to the whole hippy Primal and the organic planet. I personally hate the idea of that. I was hoping Megs would obliterate them all for his crusade to purge the planet. Yet I wanted the Maximals to win because I disagree with Megs mindless clone mentality. It shows good writing to have a show where you are routing for each side for different reasons. The darker nature also appeals to me alot more than BW. But BW takes the win.

Avatar had better get released sooner than that, because if its being released that late in America, I won't get it over here in England until the beginning of 2008!
As for Beast Wars, I have to say that it is the best transformer show ever! Without a doubt, I loved that series so much when I was younger, I remember the whole of series 3 was released only on video in England (don't know about anywhere else) and I used to pester my parents for weeks if I saw a new one and they didn't buy it for me, and then to make their lives even worse, I watched the video almost non-stop ubtil the next one came out. I really wish we'd get Beast Wars dvd series boxsets over here in England, as the only way I can see the older episodes is on Youtube. Although, we are getting the complete Beast Machines series 1 on DVD... Great...

I agree with most of you on the Beast machines end of things, they really should have stuck it out with a different kind of Beast Wars like maybe give Lio Convoy, or as I like to call him Lio prime, a go at a cartoon series and call it the new beast wars with optimus primal making occasional appearances and have it set after the conclusion of the Beast Wars!!

or shoot like I did a couple of threads back, bring back Mainframe entertainment and do a Transformers Universe series.. its the best of all universes but is set in Beast Wars era earth!!!

Anyhow..

i loved the whole optimal optimus thing in Beast wars, and yeah Gary Chalk saying roll out was a nice touch.. i still get goose bumps...

Kind of a noobish question, but what are the Madman DVDs? Are they just released in Europe? Because I'm in the US and was upset that I had to get the RiD DVDs from England (good thing I've got a region-free player to be able to watch them /:) )

It was cool even though that gorilla vs T- rex thing was too much like King Kong vs Godzilla. I still think it was funny that Inferno kept calling Megatron my queen. He was a decepticon in the Beast war but I couldn't help remembering him as an autobot from the G1 series.I always imagine it was an autobot spy trying to insult Megatron.

BW and BM were great. I watched every episode over and over again on tape until I got all of the DVD's. They closely follow the original story line which is what I liked. The only problem was the stupid spark idea. The creators and writers had very little to work with in regards to info from the original show so they did the best they could. The dvd's had not come out yet and they were not available any where else except for a few VHS tapes.

I really liked Beast Wars. It would get more love if it had ended better.

Beast Machines was a flat out abomination to the mythos especially after they tied Beast Wars to G-1. I cannot adequately articulate how much I hate Beast Machines.

But Beast Wars was always been tied to G1.

You're not alone. I talked with Scott McNeil (Rattrap, Silverbolt, Waspinator and Dinobot) and Venus Terzo (Blackachrinia) last year, and they both sounded like they hated BM.

Weapon: Gattling Gun
BW will always be my favorite TF series. The anime ones from Japan couldn't surpass it at all and no way that new animated one will either. It hook me quicker then G1 did probably cause I always did prefer animals over vehicle forms. Do to smaller cast it was able to focus on most of the cast which was always a weakness of G1 unless you liked the main leads. Being a person who rarely has favorites as the leaders or main hero it was a good thing. Although I can't really recall a character I really disliked in BW, they all had something that was interesting.

I think I need to rewatch BM from beginning to end to get a better opinion of it, has been awhile.

On the Avatar subject they better bring season 3 soon, two was an improvement over the first one and if continues season 3 should be even better. Easily the best Nick show in a long time.
