It was a one-eyed, one-horned, flyin' purple people eater.

But seriously, see the movie to find out.

I'm gonna try to see a matinee. The six screen theatre is a town over and hopefully they'll have a weekday matinee.

Yes, on multiple occasions. For me, this movie lived up to the hype. Some probably won't like it, but I will be going back to see it again.

I didn't stay through the credits, the people behind me were annoying so I took off. If there is a scene at the end, could somebody fill me in on what happens?

I stayed to the end of the credits, but i didn't see any extra scene, but there was some strange audio thing, i couldn't understand it, but maybe someone who followed the viral on-line thing will understand it.
I loved the movie, very intense, and i can't stop thinking about it. I'm definately going to see it again. Yes,there were some good shots of the monster, but i really wanted more. I'm not dissapointed though, the movie worked really well. Very creepy and dark, and really, not particurly what i was expecting, but, i got a fantastic treat anyway. I would suggest seeing it in theatres, because if you were to watch a pirated cam version of this flick, you'd miss half of the movie because of the dark way it was shot, maybe an anti-piracy tactic. Yeah, all in all this movie rocked, and i've got to see it again.

For not that large of a budget, they did some really good special effects. As for a cam version, there is no way it could it could it could capture the body shaking sound either.

You actually feel like you're there with them half the time. I kind of like the fact that not much is explained to you. I haven't had such a good time watching a movie is a long time, especially a monster flick. Bottom line, it was like the Blair Witch Project, except this was actually good.

Just got back from seeing this movie. overall it was fun. Seriously, with Hud filming the entire thing, its like your really there with the cast and what not...

One thing that dissapointed me was the monster itself. Seriously, it looked like an overgrown iguana with a STMC Drone for a head. Overall though it was one mean sumbitch, and its little parasite things were freaky as hell too!

If you really wanna know what the creatures look like. At least the small ones.

Picture a cross between Zerglings and the soldier bug from Starship Troopers.

I was so impressed with this movie. It managed to really draw me in and have me feel like I was there holding the camera. You know that feeling you get when something horrible has happened in your life? Like everything splashed into the bottom of your stomach? Yeah, that happened about 15 minutes in and I'm still a bit jittery. It just seemed so REAL! I was really impressed with the creature as well. Very different design, but very nicely pulled off. And does anyone keep thinking they've seen it somewhere before? Like in a game or something? When I saw those arms going out to the sides and then down, mixed with that tail and giant teeth, something popped into my head. I know I've seen it somewhere. Like Half Life or something. Dunno.

The smaller creatures it drops off were kind of 'meh' for the most part. They were so insanely different looking from the large creature that it sorta took me out of the movie for a moment. Seeing the mini me of the Starship Trooper bugs chasing them kinda made me smirk.

And why the Hell does a bite from those things make you explode? I felt so bad at that part because I was really starting to connect to Merlena.

Then the ending. I knew it would end badly for the most part. I just kinda wish it hadn't been so anticlimactic is all. But the walking from one building to another definitely made me cringe because of severe fear of heights. That is something I could never do.

All in all I loved the characters. Hudson would definitely be me in that situation. I would have to crack jokes to stop myself from curling into a ball and crying.

I have to say I was sad at some of the people booing or making comments along the line of "what a waste of $9.00". Guess you can't try new things anymore.

Overall I give it an A-.

The parasites made me think of the Pitch Black creatures with movie Frenzy's attitude. If they couldn't bite you they were certainly punchy little bastards. Hyper as hell too.

My brother and I loved the film. We even found out with were sitting with a group of longtime kaiju fans so we chatted with them after the film for a few minutes. I didn't see anyone leave the film sick and I didn't hear any bitch either. From some of the off the cuff reviews I have seen online tonight the naysayers seem to be making the film the most sickening experience ever.

There is a bit of art online that is almost dead on to what the monster looks like. It has been around way before the movie came out. If I had the link I could post it, but anyone who has been googling for images of Cloverfield has probably seen it already and didn't believe it. You just have to raise the hindquarters a little, add an extra set of legs and stretch out the forelegs while reversing the joints.

:BOT: Hell yeah! Hud rocks. He pretty much says what the audience is thinking. My favorite line is "Tell me that's not Beth's apartment building." :)

And yeah, the characters well defined. :CON:

Pretty much. The head is different and so are the arms though.

Below is an actual sketch of the real creature. Click if you dare. Seriously though dude, just wait to see it in the theater. Makes it that much more rewarding when they show it.

I for one am kinda sick of the Hoopla for the film. Ive been watching the trailer since Transformers was in Theatres last summer. They would show the trailer everytime and everytime I'd be like...: "oohh wow cool, this looks interesting". But now It's just the same Trailer with the same clip of the Statue of liberty head rolling Over and Over and Over with all these pretentious young NY party go-ers. Enough Already! 8-| There's no hint at all as to even what it is or has to do with! Sh*t it better be something Surreal. Something Like a Huge George Bush Alien Monster reeking Havoc on the planet. But then I guess that wouldnt be too far from reality anyway, woud it?
I probably wont see it till after the Hype has died down.
