people are gonna see what they see. but im with ya. still looks like a dude to me.Rated X wrote:I just don't see it. The bird head eliminates the signature flat stomach of fembots. And the boots are pretty chunky.
yeah. all of them are different besides sludge.Rated X wrote:Isnt there supposed to be a tfcon in october ? When are we gonna see some images of the blue diaclone slag ? I dont see it selling as well as the first one. People were duped into thinking they were going to get something G1ish for all 5. I didnt even know diaclone slag was blue. I thought just swoop.

I normally love Diaclone and E-Hobby recolors. I have a whole classics shelf dedicated to them including many customs. But the thing about these dinobots is they're different from G1, but not different enough. A little chrome and a torso color change doesn't seem to warrant double dipping or the crazy prices. I would buy G2 colored FP Dinobots in a heartbeat even at convention prices. Chrome and a different color torso, meh...
yup. s'how they got me.Rated X wrote:I think FP released the G1 looking one (Sludge) first because they knew the other exclusives would get less sales. Based on the assumption that nobody knew the other Diaclone decos, they would buy Sludge thinking "Diaclone" just meant chrome and metallic paint in normal G1 colors.

Agamemnon, barebacked rider of flying robo-dragon, and not often constipated either...My nephew wrote:Bacon is meat candy.
Delta Magnus wrote:Hmm, this is weird. FP are usually known for pretty good quality (my Bruticus set aside, mutter mutter).I can only assume that either there's been a defective batch or there's been a huge amount of bootlegs in circulation (like what happened with City Commander).

I'm discovering that there appears to be some variance in the tightness of the joints. Mine is just fine. Not overly tight, to be sure. Some playing around and they will likely loosen up quickly. But everything on the one I have is good. Maybe the only complaint I have is the fist hiding panel on the forearm doesn't lock in as nicely as I would like. Overall I am very happy with my Columpio....
same. i can only speak for the diaclone version, but its tight and sound. strange to hear their sludge has so many QC problems.Delta Magnus wrote:Hmm, this is weird. Yea it is missing the red translucent eyes.
oh yea I forgot about the forarm panels that doesn't lock in place!! Also he can't hold his weapons tightly? am I doing something wrong?
I sure some will have tighter ones than the one have.. but Really Ball Joints on a pretty heavy figure? Even on the tighter ones out there it will be a floppy mess over time.

Sounds like you got a dud. My Sludge has nice tight dino legs and both red translucent eyes. Im very happy with this line so far as I await Slag. Hope ypu bought from BBTS, don't hesitate to ask for an exchange. They have great customer service and will take care of you.

The tail HAS to form the legs, the front dino legs HAVE to form the robot arms ... sometimes a look defined what can be done with a transformation.

I'm not asking for a more complicated transformation. I'm asking for a more "satisfying?" Transformation? Not sure what or if anything can be done but it felt meh, Dino tail could have been articulated. Something about this reminds me of the Igear upsize minibots.
