Really, the original Arcee's head was styled after the big name at the time, Princess Leia.

So logically the current Arcee's head should be styled after the big name at the time ... hence why she should be bald like Britney. :P

No way he could've done that to Ratchet or Ironhide--they're too big. I can't really see a 9 foot robot being terribly effective against a robot three to four times her size in open battle.

However, if she were a spy and infiltrator... that could be cool. (Just to contradict myself!) Sneak in, blow some stuff up, sneak out... that'd work. But I can't see her doing much good in a hand-to-hand battle.

Exactly! I find that it makes perfect sense that smaller sized cybertronians could exist and would be better suited (eer, built) for espionage and spying type missions. Their size gives them an advantage. Granted, they would probably not be suited for hand to hand combat against many larger cybertronians (Awww, Jazz), but not every soldier is perfect at everything.

It's like when you watch WWE wrestling entertainment. With the size and speed of smaller wrestlers you get a lot more ariel and high flying types of wrestling. Larger wrestlers don't have the body type and built to perform such maneuvers so you don't see them perform such stunts. Both provides efficient types of entertainment. So, too, different sized robots provide different types or combat options.

With this arguement, Arcee's size is not necessarily a deterrent for her character being in the movie. Course now I don't know why we really need a spy-type character on Earth.

Maybe if a bunch of smaller bots attack a bigger bot? Hmmm....

Why Britaney? There is always Paris Hilton. Or Angelina Joelie.

Screw it. Giver her Punky Brewster pigtails. That would be interesting. :P

Not quite correct.

In an interview Scott Steiner once started that the big guys (like himself) could "fly" just as much as the smaller guys. However it was decided that for the "look" of wrestling the big guys would be all about power while the little guys went for speed.

Arcee would be smaller than Jazz, which would be her advantage. She would be more difficult to grab or hit and probably could easily climb up on the larger bots and rip out exposed circuitry or stab random pieces of trash into their gears.
Imagine Megatron dancing round trying to get Arcee off his back while she takes apart his wings.

(Just remember all these visual jokes with small wiggly creatures under someone's shirt).

I like Movie Scout Elita-One's color better than Arcee's pink and fuchsia.

I'm reminded of the scene in the original movie where the Cassetticons all gang up on Perceptor. "Death by Midget", as I jokingly dubbed it.

[quote="Mattamus Prime"]I think they should take out the pink though if they use her. She can still be a chic without the frickin pink. Make her light blue or something less "pussy!" No Pink in TF #2!!!

I'm not opposed to her in #2. Just thinking to myself,"how the hell does that work." Others will think it too once a female transformer is introduced. Someone somewhere has to figure it out for a book to be published down the road or something. How the hell do tf's have little baby transformers? Do they grow up to be big transformers. What the hell???

Anyone got any ideas???

How long I have waited for this question...and I think I have the answer. In my fanfiction this comes up as how do they get a new one well here is the results of all that research?

Okay once upon a time there was cybertron it was full of robots no organic life but they were a society they had a religion and of course there was aliens who came and did business with them and brought their families.
Some bots wanted to have these little families so the people asked why couldn't they have them so demanding bots from the priests who served Primus came up with the idea of pods that contain an energy rich gel. Using the creation matrix of a prime who would emit sparks that would activate a machine and in gel would create a new baby bot.
The baby bot feels to the human like a tire because his outsides and insides err expanding and growing.

The baby would be dependent on his parent called a "Keeper" and would need to be provided with warmth affection and energy to survive to adulthood.
To feed a baby bot you would need lower powered energy which is processed from their energy compressor and sent to the part of their body where needed. The DNA in this line also is what the baby would receive getting Keeper's face, his abilities and so forth.
The only problem of this is that the infants because they use that energy for their soft bodies to grow it can be a strain on the Keeper's body to keep making enough since a grown bot loses daily 75% of his fuel to the infant per 24 hour cycle. This resitcts a keeper till they are older and do not need as much energy about 6-7 earth months. And they can consume a more liquidity-granulated energy that is created by taking energy then gradually to solids.

To keep the infant or sparkling warm the Keeper bot would keep them close to their bodies like on their hood or backs. Or a mecca minder that keeps them warm for busy keepers. What helps keeps them warm are what’s called Cappers. Since Sparkings are born without full helmet and their heads are soft helmets trap the escaping heat from their head and forces in downward over the infant. The helmets are kept on for 1-3 earth months or till they have signs of a helmet budding such as their helmet on their heads. That gently pushes out.

The affection is important because the keeper and ward needs to bond and receive approval from their keepers much like a human child.

A Cybertrionin cannot become a transformer till their bodies are fully-grown and hardened. Sky in my story doesn't get his Alt form till he is 18 human years old but as an infant he starts to imitate his keeper by folding himself up. As he has seen the rest do.

So how do we get one well...The Autobot or decepitcon would head to a shrine where thy create the little darlings and you would go before a priest and say I want to have one and they would carefully screen and interview you for the position then they would have a prime or deception leader pass out at random who ever was deemed worthy to be a keeper.

From what I've heard, the reason pink and blue are affiliated with the genders that they are today, is be cause a long time ago baby boys, because they were the heirs to their families, were dressed in blue because it was believed to be the most powerful color to ward of demons and spirits.
Pink had the same effect, but wasn't as powerful.

Oh this is very true cause they assoitated the color blue with the Virgin Mary.

I don't know if this will help, but it's been an interesting read and I'd like to contribute some.

Someone else posted something like this which is where I got the idea. I thought that the previously posted pic was a little hard to read, especially since the figure is standing behind Arcee. So I grabbed a random white dude off google and a nice Arcee pic from the galleries here to try and show what it would be like standing next to her.

I based the guy off an average height of about 6 feet tall. If Arcee is 9 feet tall then her midline would be 4 foot 6 inches off the ground. I tried to place the gentleman accordingly about where I thought the top of his head would be right around 6 feet while keeping his and Arcees feet level. So they'd be technically the same distance away from the camera.

Image

Gotta say though, as much as I'd love to see a motorcycle transform at 80-90mph, I don't see how it's possible. At that size her alt mode would be huge next to an average sized human.

I don't think she's 9 feet tall, I think she'd have to be more around 7 feet tall. (*if she were real and all that*) Just not enough mass on a sportsbike to make a 9 foot robot.

just my 2 cents/digibash/thing

EDIT: Looking at it again, I think I made him too short by maybe as much as half a foot. If the midline is 4.6, I don't think the top of his head is at 6 feet.

Oh well, just trying to do something fast here.

I'd like to bring up two things here with the size argument.

For one I don't see what the problem is with Arcee being small. I mean, heck, Frenzy was only like 4 feet tall and everyone loved him. He was a great character.

Also with Jazz, a lot of people get mad at Bay for making him so small.
However, when Bay made Bumblebee a Camaro he got a full product placement deal with General Motors and they supplied the alt modes for Jazz, Ironhide, and Ratchet.

It saved 3 million dollars, but Bay had hoped that they would have given a bigger vehicle for Jazz.
Since Bay and the writers didn't want to use any of that "mass displacement" crap, they had to go ahead and make Jazz a little smaller.

So I can't really blame Bay for that. I mean really... 3 million dollars or bigger Jazz? Think in buisness terms.
And I sorta like Jazz being small.

Oh I'm not saying I think she's too small to be in the movie or anything. I'm just saying I don't think she's a 9 foot robot that turns into a sportsbike.

Bumblebee is supposed to be 16 feet right? So Arcee should be roughly about half his size, *roughly*, closer to 8 feet tall.

so to be in scale with the movie, it'd have to be something like:

Scout : Arcee
Deluxe: Bumblebee
Deluxe: Jazz
Voyager: IronHide
Voyager: Ratchet
Leader: Prime

Even then, I think scout class might be too big for her. Trying to picture a human that could fit inside Bumblebee, then try to picture a sportsbike in that scale.

eh, I'm not arguing, I don't care either way if there are female TF's in the cartoons or the movies. I'd just personally love to see a motorcycle transform at 80mph. I think you could definitely have a sportsbike Transformer in the movie, but I don't think you're going to get a 9 foot robot out of it.

Damn!!! Just read a few of these... if they would have put in Arcee "instead" of Ironhide... I would have been pissed.

I mean... when I weigh the two characters, there is no contest.

Nobody ever had the Arcee transformer as a kid. Nobody in my town anyway.

And though Ironhide's G1 toy doesn't even have a head, is a pretty crappy toy... he's still way cooler, at least in the G1 cartoon! PERIOD!!!

I "like" Arcee.... but Ironhide's the F***in' MAN!!!

*DQ continues to read about Sky Glory's fanfiction story. After a few moments she stops, ponders, then looks at the rest of the thread. So, no one's gonna comment on this? Anyone?!?! ???? All right. I suppose I can say a word or too.

I just enjoy this little post because someone went ahead and tried to figure out a way to explain how transformers are created. She even created little "baby bot" transformers (Awww) and goes into great detail about how they are raised, the issue of parents/keepers, etc. It's an interesting concept. I don't buy into it due to my own various ideas and concerns, but it's still an inventive concept.

I see an explanation for how new cybertronians are created, but I didn't see any reasons for "how female/male" ideas work. Tazirai, myself, and a few others went the route of "no genders", but we don't give explanations for how Transformers are created.

I haven't a clue. Has there ever been anything officially written/created to give any sort of explanation for this? I mean, in Bay's movie the All Spart created life, but apparently it turns all creatures into aggressive fighting machines. G1 seems to suggest that you can just build new robots and they will somehow become sentient beings (referring to Wheeljack creating the Dinobots), but I've never liked nor really understood that idea.

I enjoyed that comparison pic. Arcee looks so tiny next to Random Google Guy. And it also looks like she was given a knee high black boots design. WTF? I seriously want a redesign now.

Postby Mattamus Prime » Thu Nov 08, 2007 10:35 am

Arcee, the more I think about it, would be pretty SICK... just not pink. See this is why I love these forums right here. I wasn't sure about her but now I'm pretty cool on the idea. The bike would be sick. Sam could ride her, or she could roll solo (whoa... that would be bad ass to see a bike cruising down the street with no driver)!!!

I think she should be like a bad ass color... nothing really fem like pink or purple. Make her female but less feminine with the "color" I say. Just my opinion. She doesn't need to be pink to be a bad ass transformer chic!

The Prowl pic was fan made "jesterpictures.com"

Pretty sick pics. Just a bunch of pics of what some G1 characters could look like. Gets you thinkin'! Thank the DRAGON for that one.

Don't count Prowl out... they talked about having him in TF #1, but figured they would make the cop car a bad guy to stick with the whole Authoritarian vehicles/Decepticon thing."
