It dosnt.

You can create your own for your team, try and align it to OS's story (which is for V2, so not much use now, or ever IMO), or you can see if others are willing to let you run alongside their own fan universe.

Myself, Jeep!, Lord Gothika and others have our own HMW based universe (which we call TF: Extinction) which is what myself and Jeep! have used for all our tournies and minigames. You're welcome to make your team's bios reflect the events in out universe, click here to see some bios and existing stories.

I'm waiting to see how Minicons (roughly the size of people) are going to work in V2 in regards to powerlinking to the beasties (also roughly the size of people).

I can see it in my head, but that's just the gutter.

As for the question of the thread, you can do as Red/FeFe suggested, or you can make your own universe, or you can use some canonical universe such as RID or Beast Machines or G2 or even GoBots.

i was thinkking similar to powered armor. or action master style they become a really big gun

Beasties already have canonical characters who can transform into guns or battle stations for other characters to use, but neither of those would be minicon powerlinking. They'd be combining, and would in essense give the person with it two characters in a battle, which doesn't seem fair and would run counter to everything else we've heard.
