It fits Starscream's personality so well in my opinion.
Well, firstly, isn't this Thundercracker? And secondly, it looks... well, it looks like a bad cartoon drawing. I appreciate this is the look the series will have, but did it have to spill over onto the toys as well?

I don't remember hasbro saying anything about thundercracker yet.
And starscream has been blue a few times before.
Armada, Energon, Masterpiece.

Starscream wasn't blue in Armada, he was red and grey.

But this guy is in fact Starscream, or at least he was presented as such in the Botcon Hasbro Display. which is why everybody was puzzled as to why he was blue back then.

Hasbro hasn't said anything AFAIK about other seekers in Animated.

I will be passing on this series of TFs. My wallet could use the break, anyway:-)

I'd rather have Armada SS than that new thing...

I think Silent Magnus was referring to Armada Thundercracker, and how he was used at Powerlinx Starscream in the show.

Y'know, I can definitely see modders doing custom jobs on this where a good 2 thirds of the chin get cut off and sanded down.

Not me though, I dig the chin.

I can also see people substituting the head of Armada or Classic Starscream on this guy.

It's all part of the fun of Hasbro never quite giving us what we wanted.

The original review states it's Starscream, but that is wrong. Starscream is indeed white and red, he was shown during the Hasbro presentation at the San Diego Comic-Con this past summer:

That's not white; that's the same light blue we've been seeing, although it's obviously nowhere near as dark a blue as those new images.

I think my monitor is screwing up the colours, I think you guys are right, that picture of the "white" SS from the Hasbro panel is blue, just the lighting screws it up, it is the same figure.

I'll fix the story

According to another poster on this thread, that's not Megatroptimus's site. It's just the only transformers related site that hasn't banned him yet.

Can the wings rotate? If they can, it moves this toy from good to genuinely awesome. It looks like an extremely show-accurate children's toy based on the new design. With a fairly simple transformation, he holds up well in both modes. Don't like the face from the new animation style? Swap it, keep the mold. This looks very well-designed to me.

Just those backwards wings in jet mode--eesh! That would never fly. If they can't rotate, I wonder how difficult a kitbash so they can would be.

I kind of like the backward wings on Animated Starscream. It's unique and kind of badass.

Here's a novel idea-don't post info or photos on a public forum if it's "copyrighted". What a DB.

I couldn't actually all of the photos but I'm assuming he owns the SS. If so, I'd love to see Hasbro go after him for owning property that was probably stolen from the factory to be sold off eBay.
