Order of the Phoenix was depressing, they cut out alot of the humor, their efforts to change it a bit made Harry come out as shallow and Dumbledore an all righteous a-hole. And then it ended with "it was all Voldermort's fault". The actors were good though but the manner in which it was executed was horrible, kinda like a new chapter every 20 minutes.

Now, Transformers' story wasn't that good, it had plot holes and glaring advertisements. But it was funny, it was entertaining. It was something nobody had seen before, huge robots who look near realistic that it looked like they were actually built instead of CG animated. You actually want to watch it again because you're thinking, "Did that just happen?".

By the end of this month I believe that Transformers will be able to beat Harry Potter.

Oh and there's this guy named Michael B who's online right now and bullshitting Transformers on the yahoo movie boards. Looks to have about the same MO as Kalon. Coincidence?

Kalon wrote:The story doesn't end there. This movie will get beat by Potter, thankfully. Potter has a more diverse audience than TF. TF has polarized people There are those that love it(and yes, I don't see how you could) and there are those that hate it. There is little to no middle ground. Potter however doesn't. I'd at least pay to see Potter, TF would have to pay me to see it, and even then I'd walk out. Bay had a simple formula to follow with TF, one that has worked for over 20 years. He couldn't do that. Just on a technical side this movie has issues:

I love it when people start these threads with "facts" and when they get shot down the poster decides not to post in it anymore. Or at least until they conjure up new "facts" to try to back up their point.

You see unlike you, I don't need to or have to sit at my pc all day long to look like a big man in a thread on a site. I can leave my pc and do other things.

you could take that stick from your arse and join us normal people here. The movie made more than 300 milion dolars. I will speel it so you can read it. More than 3-0-0 M-I-L-I-ON D-O-L-A-R-S, That´s more than a quarter of a biilion and a profit from a bujedt of 150 million.

and just to grind your teeth, a sequel is greenlight.

I hate to be the bearer of bad new (okay, I lied, I actually love it), but when a movie makes $100,000,000 more than it cost to make - and that's just domestically, it's no longer considered a failure nor is it considered unprofitable. That's not even taking into consideration that everything it's going to make worldwide and on DVD pure profit going forward.

And comparing a second weekend movie with a first weekend movie just to prove a tired opinion of how much you hate a movie is just...tired.

Yes a very simple formula that cant even stay consistent in the 20 years it has been around. How many origins does prime have? The constructicons? The dinobots? How can you "expect" bay to get it right when the people that have handled the franchise for the last 20 years cant even come to one complete linear story to accompany its characters with out revamping it everytime a new t.v. season comes around or a comic book company has to close it's doors.

You see I have this little thing in life called a job. Its where I sit at an office desk and do things on a computer which allows me the time to come here and see your constant whining about things that you obviously are looking at with blinders on. I don't need to look like a big man on a pc, I just like to point out how narrow minded you are and that you are absolutely unwilling to see the big picture.

and Kalon states that Potter has a diverse crowd...while Potter is very popular, people who are not into Potter ARE NOT running out to see the 5th movie in a series....diverse fanbase? yes Potter does....adding additional fanbase minus young kids...NO. Prior to Transformers coming out the group least looking forward to it was not surprisingly women over 35...no shocker there....the shocker was at the exit polls found...that the group most likely to recommend Transformers at a whopping 91% was.....drumroll....women over 35! This means Transformers is not just playing to fanbase, but to families as well. Fanbase propelled the movie in the 1st 3 days, but good word of mouth has helped Transformers too. Its a great movie for the fanbase, and plays well to a very large age demo....just look at the age breakdown of highly positive reviews of Transformers on Fandango.com

Motto: "Ker-Klick... Choom!"
Weapon: Black Magic
The hating and slamming those that do not hate needs to stop.
The non hating and slamming those that hate has to stop.

Weather you like the movie or hate it, the thing made hundreds of millions of dollars.. nuff said.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

As you can see Kalon was very sure that Potter would have a larger domestic gross then TF. How has that worked out. If you look at the #'s you will see that Potter is pacing almost 22 million behind Transformers if you compare where Potter is now compared to TF' s numbers when you look at amount of days released. Potter at 31 days = 268 mil. TF at 31 days was 290 million. My initial prediction at the one week mark looks to be very close to reality. TF I predicted would end at 305 to 310 million. 310 looks like the end result. Potter I stated looked at about 290 million. I would say now they will miss that a come in at about 285 to 288 million. Kalon was nothing more then a Bay hater.
