We all create our own teams, is it so much to ask that we be allowed to display our own (sub-)faction symbols to signify we are our own fan created individual teams?
So try this.
The ability for a person to submit their own faction symbol for their own use.
Have a list of canon faction symbols a person can use, but if they have their own give them the ability to submit it so that they and only they can use it.
Submissions would have to meet certain guidelines and obviously not contain any offensive material.
How does that sound?

Of course not, they do fine all on their own.

I suggested the S7, GIJoe, and Cobra logos back in the planning forum, but now I can't find the post saying why not, so for my part I'd say we should have human symbols. I don't see it as being unreasonable for players to have human-piloted mechs or Earth-allied Transformers on their team.
I'd also still like to see emblems for the various combiner subgroups, like the Stunticons, Constructicons, and Protectobots just because I think they'd look cool. Also, Emblems for Transmetals and Transmetal IIs.
Finally, couldn't we vastly increase the range or options available by allowing players to edit the color of the emblem? That way even if we only had the half-dozen or so canon emblems, it would actually be like 64(?) times that amount.
Philcom wrote:Also if non-Transformer related or fan made symbols are going to be put in, there should be no reason GI Joe, Cobra, Sectro Seven, maybe even some human national images couldn't be used, unless they'll be in use elsewhere.

lol, I was about to post these last night but never got around to.
It was made for all those who betray their faction.
Ex-Autobot
Ex-Decepticon
I might do a better version, because I dont like how these turned out.

nice stuff, but how can one betray their faction when it is a reset?
Caelus wrote:I still think the icons should be selectable on a bot-by-bot basis.
If you want the icon to represent your entire squad - give everyone the same insignia.
If you want to divide your unit into two or three squads - differentiate them with 2 or 3 icons.
If you want to represent the origin of each of your characters - give them each a different symbol.
If it's tied to the whole team, you only get to exercise option #1. And at that rate, we could just transplant the emblem system from the boards into the game.
MN12ShadowDragon wrote:As for the idea of "special team" icons, why not just make it like the avatars, one slot per team for your team logo that you can upload as you wish?
MN12ShadowDragon wrote:yeah, 25px x 25px or something. Just have to see if all the extra DB calls are worth it or if it would just make pageloads a lot longer.

Caelus wrote:Can't do, for the same reason we couldn't allow pictures to be posted in the character profiles - too much risk of abuse.
