Not enough level 2 missions?

Postby Matrix. » Sun May 27, 2007 7:04 pm

Hope this isn't answered anywhere (If it has been, I apologise for being a 'tard), but there are very few missions exlclusively for level 2s, and to be honest, I'm tired of having my ass handed to me by people level 3 or 4. Any chance of an increase of level 2 missions?

That wont help if he is comprehensivly out leveled most of the time.

I remember having pretty much the same problem around lvl 2 n 3.

Then he needs to level down. My LOW level 2s do just fine even when they loose unless grossly outnumbered

Sure. Probably around December when people actually reach level 2 again. No point changing them up now after all. :P

i agree with you having a look at your set up, nine times out of ten if my level two bots lose, they gain enough energon to recover and around 300XP

It used to be the way back when I was level 1, but level 2 is proving to be really hard on my guys. (Just checking my scores again now, I sent them in, and got a full set of losses)

There#s my team, anyway. Forgive me for asking, but how will changing their configuration help? They all used to be so good. *sob*

Sniper stays- part of his character for now. ;)

Beating up level 1s though? Difficult. The opportunity doesn't arise often :(

well, let me think here, LVL 1 config that worked for me was
1 STR
3 speed
5 crg
4 tactic
x-ray
realy easy to goto lvl 2, with 2 points in FP and a DOL

at lvl 2 you can due more, tactic wise, if you want a strafer,or avioder, you pump-up speed more than crg, if you want a ramer. you pump up str, crg, ram, then speed/weapon if any

if you can't get a DOL laser rifle, the Electric Cannon-3 FP is a good 2nd, or even the Direct-Current Electrical Laser at 3fp/2sk for damage

or you could get a Double-Barreled Plasma Shell Shotgun at 2 fp, the sniper rifle is a POS weapon in my book, when the x-ray at 0fp/0sk does the same damage.

if you want to lvl-its due damage,or survive,or both. and if you need 2 dols, PM me and i will set you up with them, then you will see how much better they are equil to the sniper rifle, at only 2 FP, good luck

I must have seen 3 level 2 only missions in a row during toda's fight club.

I guess like most things they never seem to be there when you need them.

I too have noticed the same for a couple weeks now! Take for instant right now. I just signed up six bots and all matches were either 1-3 or 2-3 and even 2-4. In wich three of them had to be generated on the spot! There is just not enough players in the same levels! Thats one of the many reasons HMW 2 is going to be released soon. I don't like the idea of my 3 years of work going down the toilet, but at least there's a shot at the number 1 spot again.

actually, No, having enough people to fill missions has very little to do with a reset.

to understand why we get so many more cros levels you have to understand how the missions are generated, of which their are two methods.

first is random generation, every so often the the mission generator just spews one out, assuming each mission has the same chance of being generated, this would mean each individual mission would occur at the same rate for every mission.

going off an old mission list(as that's all i've got for reference)there are generally More multi-level missions in existence than single level ones(for level 2 their are four level 2 only missions, and 5 level 2-X missions).

the second method of mission generation is cuased when a commander looks at the mission page and has NO missions available screen(they see the "A new mission has been added" message, this triggers the mission generator to pop out a mission suitable to the level of the TFs he has active. i call this Push generation

say i have a level 4 active, and i push-gen a mission say it's 50/50 that it's cross level or single level, half the time i'll push a single level, the other half will be cross levels, however if i push gen a cross level mission, it means i've blocked push-generation for ALL levels that that level is open too.

this is bad becuase if i push gen 6 missions with a level 2, 3 will be cross level(say all are 2-3s), this means if a guy with 6 level 3s comes up he'll have only 3 push-gens(3 of his guys will have to clear my 3 push-gen cross levels from his mission list, before he can push-gen himself) of which half will be cross levels, and half will be single. so only 1 or 2 missions of his 6 missions would be single level.

Well either way you put it! I still only come out seeing Combination level missions more than single level ones! Like 6:1
