A serious longshot but, I'd like to see some non-stylised Animated figures. Take the Animated designs but have say, Don Figueroa redraw them. I'd be really interested to see that for Omega "Ark" Supreme or their iteration of the Constructicons.

All joking aside I actually liked Injector and Retrax as a kid. In fact, Retrax is infamously known as the only time I ever threw a tantrum to get a toy, namely because my dad knew that one was already waiting in the Christmas wraps. Still, he and Injector are notoriously bad figures from the era with no hope of ever getting a remake, not even in Third Party form!

I also have Retrax and live it enough to never burry it in storage nor sell him. That mold is also very lived because it's Takara silver and blue repaint is relatively expensive and sell quickly whenever it pop in at Mandarake.

Both him, Injector, and so many beasties will never be remade by anyone because they suffer from being nobodies that never appeared in the show.

It's sad, really.

Indeed. It speaks volumes when even the Monsterbots get the MP treatment ala 3P. Yet all the visually interesting non-show designs from Beast Wars and the Vehicons from Beast Machines will never see the light of day again.

I think to some extent its primarily because the generation which grew up on Beast Wars are in their 25-30-ish range and only just entered the market of high end collector manchild toys, whereas the G1 people have been around longer.

No doubt also due to a distinct lack on supplementary material. The Beast Era had four series (two being region specific), a mini comic and The Gathering/Ascending. That's it.

The Toyline was never expanded on by any other official avenues. So the figures that weren't in the shows, only existed in the imagination of the fan playing with them. In that respect, no one is going to make a Masterpiece Injector, Wolfang or Cybershark. Because how could you even begin to gauge enough interest to offset the cost?

I dunno, the fact that they had toys before gives them better chances than, say, the likes of Phreaker and Signal Lancer.

Transmetal, with their metallic beast mode and weird bio-organic robot mode are such a unique and cool esthetic but we haven't seen any new Transmetal mold since Beast Wars. Only redeco of the Beast-era guys. The only sort of exception is a new Sky Byte in generation (but he's a Transmetal II so its not the same at all) and POTP Optimus Primal....but that design lacked the organic robot mode. Not only that but the POTP went as far as to remove the small hint of organic details the original had, namely those black spots with molded gorilla fur which seemed to indicate Optimal Optimus somehow had still-organic parts in there.

Oh, I don't know, I think some of the Jungle Planet molds from Cybertron are pretty Transmetal-ish. And Undermine is basically both a Transmetal and a Fuzor (he's mostly a(n outdated) Spinosaurus, but his sail has obvious Parasaurolophus elements).

In the hands of good writers and a competent director who love and are fans of the franchise, without much interferences by the executives, it could turn into something amazing.

So that's why I can't dismiss a Bayst Wars movie.
Beside, the Bay movies were mostly trash yet they revided Transformers for a whole new generation. So a Live Beast movie may very well do the same thing and maybe, give some breathing room from constant G1.

Is it wrong I'm honestly more curious to see what such a movie would produce in term of special effect, the robot designs and of course the associated toyline? For one thing, Hasbro hasn't done fully organic beast modes since Aaron Archer's T30 eras. Second, the style would look pretty bizarre or even gruesome in the movie style, be it more Bay or hyper-realistic G1 of Bumblebee.

That said we know THAT one hypothetical line would never have a Retrax! No Studio Series Beast Wars Retrax for me! :lol:

Why I can't say that sales were flagging by the time Cybertron finished, the 07 movie gave the franchise a shot in the arm and we didn't see it all drown in its designs either as after the movie we got universe 2.0 and Animated.

China's exclusive Nehza gave me an idea.
Why not REVERSE PRETENDERS?

What I mean is take a classic Pretender and turn his inner bot into the main bot. It would be voyager sized with a more elaborate robot and vehicle mode. However, no waist articulation because the whole torso would be hollow so that it can contain the "Pretender shell" that is now the "real" character. It would be a GI-Joe like action figure with removable accessories like wings, armor parts, weapons, helmet, and so on. Those "Joes" would also be fully compatible with GI-Joe accessories, vehicles, and playsets. The extra parts could be stored on the bot or vehicle.

And while we're at it, why not doing a GI-Joe revival by making a GI-Joe VS Transformers series with the toys that go with it?

I would really like to see a Generations take on the classic Super Gobots "cabin head" robots. I mean, the accurate vehicle that change into the same classic bot mode, but with perfect articulation and posability.

But I guess I'm the only one who want that.
