Meanwhile, any of the Zone Demon General redecos would be nice...
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:The Demon Generals aren't even redecoes, just additional bling plus Bruticus and Menasor being drawn properly.

I'd add a way to differentiate them as Demon Generals, instead of their regular Gestalt counterparts. They can't dissemble into their teams. That way, in addition to the additional bling. They would stand out as unique.
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Alas Clawjaw and the other Aquatic Bots of Beast Wars, deserved better.
One idea I had recently, let's call it a Grandmaster. The name being a play on words, for what I'm suggesting. An all-in-one Master Bot. A Head+Target+Powermaster+Weaponiser. A regular sized bot, wherein everything barring the base torso detaches to form a smaller bot.
As a kid watching The Rebirth. I used to think why don't the Headmasters have a Targetmaster? Or Vice-versa?

So Prime candidates for R.E.D then

I had this idea when I was a kid. I wanted the next Optimus to be a Target-Head-Powermaster with a Pretender shell. PM Prime was nearly a Headmaster (with a head that also had a vehicle mode) at one point in concept while also making the core bot a Triplechanger with a jet mode. Who knows how many gimmicks the design team would have crammed in there before they started stripping things out (sliding fists, clear windows, chrome and die-cast).

I know Optimus is a seller, but it could be a nice occasion to have a brand new character:
ZENBU-OTRON!

That bot would be a combiner box set. Because that guy would have ALL the main gimmicks from the TF History! One bot would have the Armada minicon gimmick, with his minicon. Another the Cybertron cyber key. Another would be this, and that. Hands and feet of the combiner would be 1 step changers, The torso bot would be a pretender shell that can transform like Crossblade. The head of the combiner would be a triple-changing headmaster with his own vehicle mode.
I don't know how much such a monstrosity would cost, but Zenbu-otron (zenbu mean "everything" in Japanese) would be a blast to fiddle with!
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Why haven't they crossed gimmicks before? The Pretender line basically went back to the mini-vehicle line. Sixshot, while in the same timeframe as the Head/Targetmasters, had none of his own?
Technically the Seacons crossed Targetmasters with Gestalts. But they didn't even go all in on the concept.
MaximalNui wrote:My personal dream engineering monstrosity? A combiner-combiner. Five teams of robots (probably the size of Micromaster Six-Teams to make it manageable) each combine into a larger form, and then the resulting gestalts all combine into an even larger robot. Like Starscream did in Combiner Wars, only actually interesting and not just a giant phantom head. Even better if they weren't all humanoids: one team could combine into a vehicle, another into a monster...

I really don't think you want something you actually want to be in RED...

AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Wouldn't a Bugbite redeco with reprolabels be a simpler solution to licensing agreements?
AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Most of those comparisons don't make any sense. But Herbie is just a white VW bug AKA Bugbite, with racing stripes...

With the former colour palette. Add labels and that's Herbie.
