Aside from Devastator himself, where are the individual Constructicons on that chart? All I can see are season 3 and Headmasters cartoon characters.

I based my assumption by confusing Erector for a constructicon.

The image is tiny and blurry as hell, but I think that the constructicons beside Devy. So, that mean the individual bots grow 3 times the size when combining!

Yep, those are indeed the individual Con-cons next to Devy in that second pic, so they do indeed mass shift to being even bigger when combined into Devy.

Though, Erector? In your confusing him for a Con-con, I think you confused someone else for him. 8-}

I disagree. I think it was considered and designed holistically.

I'll agree to that. But, Devastator is definetly the main attraction and they knocked it out of the park on that front. There is some really clever engineering going on with him/them. I found Devy to be quite enjoyable and satisfying to build.

I have no complaints with the Constructicons themselves. Sure I could nitpick a thing or two here and there. I feel that because of their size and that they are voyagers they are being unfairly scrutinized. They seem to be the exact level of complexity for what they are and what they become.

If Devastator was half his size, would he be put under the magnifying glass as intensely?

I agree. Devy looks very MPish in combined mode. There is some very good engineering there

Classic scene: Devastator VS Dinobots. Only Grimlock is still alive.

Added Superion in kneeing position with Devastator's gun pointed at him at point blank. Seems like all hopes are gone.

Ultra Magnus head chopped off

Star Saber arrived and plunged a sword into Devastator's chest

I tried looking up pictures and it led me back to this forum where you pointed out he's MP car sized (Wheeljack). There are more pictures that show Star Saber in a spaceship being just about twice the height of what I assume to be Voyager-class robots.

Alright guys this is not about Masterpiece, but about Devastator, let's get back on topic.

I do find it quite cool that the models for the Constructicons, and Devastator himself, in the Devastation game, are quite similar in look to the Titan Devastator, ESPECIALLY the Unite Warriors version, which features the same color scheme. :APPLAUSE:

I am getting UW Devy, not just for the extra engineering, (which is a big part of my motivation btw) but also because of the colors are better. :-P

Hmm yes the Combiner Wars Superion/Menasor/Defensor are about the same height as MP Ultra Magnus, and MP Star Saber is just a bit taller than Ultra Magnus. I don't have a Star Saber versus Combiner Wars picture though.

Though I do wonder how Devastator would be, if they weren't chasing scale so much - he does look like he's a slightly oversized knockoff, and that his individual bots could have been somewhere between Voyager and Deluxe in complexity.

I think the oversized devasator is a fitting tribute to him being the most iconic and first combiner to appear in tf universe and also the first deception to pose a threat to the dinobots.

Also good for posing with the puny dinobots

I really like that Devastator is massive. It serves as an exception that forms the rule of the other CW combiners being roughly the same height.

For height comparison. Star Saber is taller than combiner war superion, which is actually taller than vintage G1 Superion.

Once Victory Leo is launched, Victory Saber might reach Deva height, however bulk wise still slimmer.
