Sabrblade wrote:Aside from Devastator himself, where are the individual Constructicons on that chart? All I can see are season 3 and Headmasters cartoon characters.

The individual bots were clearly an after thought. The primary goal was definitely Devastator himself.
I disagree. I think it was considered and designed holistically.

I'll agree to that. But, Devastator is definetly the main attraction and they knocked it out of the park on that front. There is some really clever engineering going on with him/them. I found Devy to be quite enjoyable and satisfying to build.
I have no complaints with the Constructicons themselves. Sure I could nitpick a thing or two here and there. I feel that because of their size and that they are voyagers they are being unfairly scrutinized. They seem to be the exact level of complexity for what they are and what they become.
If Devastator was half his size, would he be put under the magnifying glass as intensely?

I tried looking up pictures and it led me back to this forum where you pointed out he's MP car sized (Wheeljack). There are more pictures that show Star Saber in a spaceship being just about twice the height of what I assume to be Voyager-class robots.

In this frame he fits in a spaceship. The toy has the same height as MP-01 and Combiner Wars Superion/Menasor/Defensor which are about twice the height of a Voyager figure - which is quite right! I didn't dig enough to find him in scale with other gestalts, though.

The star saber mp is a bit taller than combiner wars superion. I think devasator is blown out of proportion.
It should be same height as rest of the combiner wars combiners. But then this is meant to be the biggest combiners
