Nemesis Reformatted wrote:I really hate this stupid BS you guys keep pushing. If it weren't for the club we would never ever have that figure. Never ever ever. It's absolutely impossible for Hasbro to ever release that figure in any other way. TOTAL COMPLETE BULLS**t!

I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm saying it's BEEN 5 YEARS AND THEY HAVEN'T MADE ONE YET SO THEY PROBABLY WONT! They didn't even make the CORRECT silver version used in all their fiction, they only made the one for the TFCC because they asked them for it and Hasbro agreed. Ergo, if it weren't for the Subscription Service WE NEVER WOULD HAVE GOTTEN ONE TO BEGIN WITH! Why is that so hard to understand?

You guys said the same exact thing when Hasbro released Classic Thundercracker in that Botcon set.

No comparison. We said that because Hasbro said that. Hasbro said TC went to BotCon because they had no plans to make one for retail, and the reason they had no plan to make one for retail is because Classics was done and over and there was no replacement planned. Then Universe happened and suddenly they had an avenue to release Thundercracker (and Thrust and Dirge for that matter). That was 4 years later, but it's been 5 years since they did that blue Bluestreak and there's more popular characters that people would rather have than him like silver Bluestreak, Ratchet, or even the entirely passed over Sideswipe. They could have done them during Power of the Primes, they could have done them in Selects, they could have done them in any number of Amazon and Target exclusives, but they never did and NEVER WILL.

And how many times did they re-release him after that?

Uh, zero? The Universe version wasn't painted the same way at all, wasn't even the same shade of blue.

Hasbro can do whatever the hell they want. Good for you! Enjoy it! But I can't enjoy mine because they made it impossible for me to get one. So I have every right to bitch about it. I despise Botcon & the TFCC. I'm glad the bastards a gone! I cheered when they announced the end of stupid Botcon. Generations Selects is a much better way to release these exclusives.

Here's how Botcon exclusives work (and yes, I'm simplifying this a lot to make the point): Fun Pub goes to Hasbro and says, "Hey, here are the 20 characters we want to make figures for this year for BotCon and as club exclusives". Hasbro responds and says, "well, you can't use these 6, but you can do whatever you want with these 14 because we have absolutely no plans to use them for ANYTHING in the near future." Like I've been saying, the ONLY way these characters come about is because Fun Pub wants them and Hasbro DOESN'T. Fun Pub not existing doesn't mean the things they sold would end up somewhere else, it means they wouldn't have existed PERIOD. Fun Pub not existing wouldn't have meant blue Bluestreak ending up at another retailer, it simply wouldn't exist AT ALL. That's why I call you selfish, if you can't have something then nobody can and that's such an childish jerk thing to say. They didn't make it impossible for you to buy, you could have, you CHOSE not to.

Every fan has the right to enjoy these figures. Not just a select few rich elitist &%$#^%s. :-x

   Nobody's ever accused me of being rich before!   At the time I was only making $12 an hour, had a mortgage, a car payment and other bills, hardly rich! If it wasn't for them taking installments, working it into my budget and not buying CW Pretectobots and Combaticons I never could have afforded them, certainly not the lump sum payment. That's why I don't own any BotCon box sets, and you know what, that's OK, good for the people that can, I hope they enjoy them because I'M A GODDAMN ADULT AND THEY'RE JUST TOYS.

If that's selfish then I'm the most selfish fan that ever existed. And I'm proud of it. I want every fan to be able to enjoy this hobby equally. Not this segregation by financial status BS. Everybody who wants these figures should be able to purchase them easily. I feel sorry for everybody that has to go without the figures they want. Like with the recent Amazon fiasco. It's all a huge load of BS!

Do you know how many RETAIL figures I've never had a chance of buying, let alone exclusives? Half the Titans return line, never saw it, had to pay a premium for the Legends version. Life isn't fair, get over it, sometimes you just have bad luck or it isn't meant to be, but if you want something bad enough you'll find a way, there are almost always options.

And all the jerks that are like "Ha ha! I got mine & you didn't get one. You suck! Nah nah!"

"Nah Nah! I got some ice cream & you didn't get none!" -Eddie Murphy

You wanna pay $150 for a measly Cyberverse Ultimate mold?

Definitely not, but Iaconus would be an interesting retool of Metroplex.

About Elita 1, I assume they mean a lightbar when they say siren (sirens are the noise part) so she'll probably be a pre-tool of Minerva. And the thing is, considering what constitutes a retool or shared mold these days can be pretty drastic, just look at Huffer and Pipes or Siege and Earthrise Prime, she probably wouldn't even be a Headmaster.

The rhetoric in here needs bringing back down please. We're adults and our tone should reflect that, instead of bickering over children's toys.

I thought more people would be happy that Cybertron Metroplex was rumoured to be the Titan. Not so much for the fact the character was being revisited, but for the door it opens regarding the size class and other eras.

Sadly the stylisic clash would still rule out animated omega supreme :(

That Cybertron Metroplex is complete and utter GARBAGE. That huge ridiculous thing have the lamest altmode ever and I'm not even considering adding that STOOPID thing to my collection. Not exited at all for that rumored titan either.

Maybe add an extra power crackle that can plug between the key and the figure and an attachable bottom part for displaying it off of figures.
I think that'd be a fun homage, especially if they did an accessory pack that included different variants.
Meh, it's not the same if the key doesn't actually behave like a key and actually fit into a slot that its key part can be inserted into. Otherwise, it's just a big flap piece hanging off the side of a figure for no functional purpose.

Of all the Unicron Trilogy gimmicks, Cyber Keys were the best gimmick in how they were both functional yet nonintrusive.

I just don't see them doing the full blown gimmick of the cyber key since it was usually a massive block that'd unfurl with springs. Maaaaaybe we'll get a little taste of it with the Titan, but certainly not in any other figure. I don't really expect them to do the full sha-bang with Minicon Powerlinxing either... we'll probably get the Minicons and they'll attach to hardpoints, maybe they'll have some fold out weapon gizmos to justify it.

I grew up with UT, but couldn't afford a full-sized figure until the 07 Toyline (imagine your first full toys being Voyager Ironhide and Deluxe Payload...) so while I love UT, I don't have attachments to the toy gimmicks themselves. So my perspective on them is kinda unusual in that way.

I can't vouch for it, but I recall the rumormongers said that the Micromasters were viewed internally at Hasbro as a disappointment and wouldn't be returning. At the very least, there isn't a Legacy size class for Minicons, and a pair wouldn't fit on a Core class card. I'm not saying Minicons can't or won't happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath, especially if there are only a handful of UT figures expected. A Minicon pack-in with the Titan is a no-brainer, but that might be it.

Sorry I meant like the Mini-cons would be a pack in with larger figures who can budget it (Voyagers+). The other option is they just randomly release a multi pack in a normal size-class box. I feel like neglecting Minicons entirely for Armada characters is like removing Headmasters from... Headmasters (I suppose Targetmasters would be more accurate though).
Though maybe that's just me really wanting a slightly more articulated Armada Swindle.

I'd like a return of the Minicons. Since they already have the base molds, they could be a continuation of the Micromasters. However, for large bots like Metroplex they could be Core class. They would have to be sold separately to keep the base prices of the figures down.

I wasn't thrilled with how the ER figure kept so much of the Siege design, which compromised the roof and feet in particular. If the Core starts from the basic ER design but reengineers those elements, it could certainly be an improvement. The torso flip/rotation was cool but might not transfer to the smaller scale.

Target Listing Found for Transformers Legacy Prime Knock Out

Postby william-james88 » Tue Aug 17, 2021 7:51 pm

Motto: "'till All Are One"
Voltrace has been looking through the Target system for all sorts of listings and found almost the entire Transformers Legacy. But there is one more to add to the list and that is the rumoured Prime Knock Out. I can see how it was a hard listing to single out since he is shown as "KO" on the computer. The other deluxes also rumoured for the main line are the remaining two stunticons to complete the new version of Menasor coming out next year. We are still left with many possible exclusives.

Rumour has it that Knock Out is a retool of SS86 Jazz but the rumours have been all over the place lately with quite a few not bearing fruit.

I wonder if it will be as tiny as the original. That thing had the award for smallest deluxe ever.

I'm so looking forward to the reveal.

TFP Knock Out is THE figure I want to replace with a much better one in the future. It is not as bad as Black Arachnia, but I transfered her head to a repainted Beast Hunter Starscream which made her awesome.

The other TFP figure I'd like replacing is Smokescreen. Otherwise, I love each of the TFP figures I own. Hasbro was at their peak of engineering, offering mostly good sized toys at a great price & quality. Those days are long gone...

Tarantulas
Arcee
Elita-1
Knock Out
Minerva if it is indeed happening

Voyager
Bulkhead
Inferno
Armada Starscream
the $29.99 Soundwave if it's something other than G1 Soundwave

Leader
Transmetal 2 Megatron
Blitzwing
G2 Optimus Prime if it turns out good.

If the Titan is Cybertron Metroplex, I'll reserve judgment until we actually see it before I decide.

Honestly, Legacy is shaping up to be a step in the right direction imo. Finally, we're getting proper representations of characters outside of american G1. With suggestions that JP characters will have figures (which makes sense with the new Haslab project), Unicron trilogy and Prime, it's got something for everyone. I appreciate G1 when it happens but Transformers has had many iterations and it's just nice to see HasTak explore that. If they could then start to do comic designs too? I'm sure there's a number of designs from DW and IDW eras that people want to see official offerings for.

She is happening, but apparently Nightbeat isn't (or at least he's not mainline). The current theory (based on hints from a leaker) is that Elita 1 is a pretool of Minerva and isn't a Headmaster, though whether Minerva is one is unknown.

She is happening, but apparently Nightbeat isn't (or at least he's not mainline). The current theory (based on hints from a leaker) is that Elita 1 is a pretool of Minerva and isn't a Headmaster, though whether Minerva is one is unknown.

Is Minerva mainline?
Or would Elita be the mainline release if that mold while the two others are exclusives?
