In all honesty, the original Cybertron Metroplex was nothing to get excited over. Most people splooge over the fact he has such a realistic alt mode, but other than that, there is nothing overly great about the figure.

Oh well, more money to spend on vintage G1 figures for me then.

I am super excited for that Metroplex. I really enjoy my original, but this looks awesome. I am most glad that he is huge and now technically in scale. And a giant saw is still awesome!

Gotta say, if we're talking about ut updates but good this time, my #1 wish is probably a very poseable armada scavenger without the dumb walking gimmick

This is likely the real reason for the name change as we'll probably have both Black Convoy and ROTB Scourge on the shelves at Walmart at the same time next year and this'll eliminate any confusion.

A few observations about the new Metroplex:



In Workbot mode his weapon breaks in half so he can hold each half at the same time as seen in the photos. The description points this out, "Includes large axe and bucket scoop accessory."
In vehicle mode his arms now fold towards his feet rather than follow behind him awkwardly and his hands seem to hide somewhere (inside the forearms?) further tightening up the alt mode compared to the original.
If he doesn't come with a Minicon then he'll be the first Titan to not come with a smaller figure.
At 22" he'll be the same size as Omega Supreme (to the top of his head, not his wings)
Also being 22" still doesn't put him in scale with the Cybertron figures (not the big ones anyway).

I believe FOP is short for "fold out poster" so that's interesting. I wonder if we'll see it at Pulsecon?
That Legacy logo is pure metal! I like the purple and teal color scheme.

I just figured it was a sales presentation from Hasbro to see if FD wanted to sell this product in their stores

I'm sure there was a buyers meeting from a bunch of retailers on the same presentation, but this one had to have come from csutton2@familydollar.com or else their email wouldn't be all over the picture.

One of the credible leakers just said about a half-hour ago that they've seen a cost approval that lists him as "Metroplex and Drill Bit" and says he has the components of "Metroplex, Drill Bit, Drill Bit Weapon, & Axe Titan weapon", so he should have Drill Bit unless the documentation is incorrect.

FOP means Front Of Package.

His Cyber Key gimmick is only part of his weapon accessory, so couldn't they work it into this figure since it's so non-intrusive?

That's lame. I didn't like the Ark's art, it was too disjointed.

If they're saying Drill-bit is included and he comes with a weapon then that basically confirms he isn't a Minicon or Micromaster. Hopefully his weapon is a Cyberkey shaped shield.

I'd say it is a pretty good chance it will be a deluxe sized bot based on most of the previous titans:
Metroplex - Legends Scamper
Fort/Grand Maxx - Deluxe Cerebros/Grand
Trypticon - Deluxe Full Tilt
Omega Supreme - Micro Countdown
Scorponok/Black Zarak - Deluxe Zarak
Ark - Deluxe Mainframe

But here's a wild thought, what if they made Drill Bit like a weaponizer and one of his parts could resemble a cyber key? Bonus points if they make it able to interact with Metroplex's weapon. Even if they don't want to do a spring loaded gimmick, they could use the weaponizer format to have Drill-Bit's parts basically upgrade the weapon.

No thank you! Maybe if it was a corrected version of the first Titan Metroplex, with ramps that actually worked, and a head that actually was hidden in city mode, and hands that went somewhere during transformation.

But this? Nope.

If that's an actual picture of what Metroplex will look like I'm disappointed, that's no City.
Also while a small image that bot doesn't really resemble Metroplex much, at least not the one I'm familiar with.

It's Cybertron Metroplex, from the 2005 series Transformers: Cybertron.

The Titans that came with Deluxe figures had toys closer to Deluxe scale in their G1 iterations. Omega didn't come with a figure initially, but they included a Micromaster figure as an inspiration from the Rocket Base--though Micromasters were also a focus at the time. In other words, Hasbro doesn't add Deluxe figures arbitrarily. If we do get Drill Bit, I don't see why they would make him oversized. Even though Micromasters aren't a current focus, even a Core class figure would make more sense than a Deluxe.

Core Class minicons...
Now that would please me a lot. Especially for a titan. Micromasters sized minicons could be used for regular figures as usual.

I mean, micro would normally be seen as smaller than mini right? So it would make sense than Micromasters are smaller than Minicons.

The lines between the two have been pretty blurred over the years.

Especially since the Mini-Cons are known as "Microns" in Japan.

Anyone up for another blurry pic that would make any big foot hunter salivate? Well, we have one for you here of Transformers Legacy Inferno. This toy is said to be a voyager class coming out next year in the main line. This is from the same presentation Hasbro sent to a Family Dollar representative, meaning the whole set of slides is out there. If anyone wonders why this is being sent to family dollar, well we know from the last time that these slides leaked that they contain the authentics toys which are found specifically at Family Dollar. So Hasbro sends this huge presentation out to everyone who would be ordering toys from them, even if it's just some of the toys on these slides.

If you have the entire presentation, please don't be shy to share it with us. You can contact us directly and we will make sure to keep your anonymity and simply share this with all the eager fans out there.
