Going to Gamestop was worth it. With Gamer Prime, that's one more Amazon preorder that I could cancel.

Went to a comic and toy show today, it was rather disappointing and poorly planned as a first time show. It was at an arena which caused several issues: 1) Ticketmaster. $25 entry fee and another $15 in service fees meaning $40 just for the privilege of shopping. 2) No reentry, once you're in you're stuck there. No wrist bands or stamps, if you need to leave you aren't coming back in without another ticket. Keep in mind this is a three day all-day event with guests and panels all weekend (I was just going for Friday), but if you buy anything you're lugging it around all day, you aren't leaving to take stuff out to your car or hotel room between panels or signings or whatever. 3) Not a venue issue, but Of the 30 or so venders, only maybe a quarter of them sold vintage toys and/or comics. The bulk of the sellers were selling Funko Pops, Pokemon stuff or self made stuff (fan art, self published comics, clothing, prints, and whatnot). Not sure why they bothered calling it a comic and toy show.

Anyway, I did pick up one Transformer that I'm VERY happy with: Transformers Prime Sharkticon Megatron for only $40 MIB, but at only $5 more than a modern Voyager I have no problem with opening it!

I also made the most of being in the area since I rarely make it down there (last time was November) and picked up a bunch of stuff I'll be posting in the non Transformers haul section. But I did stop at a Target on my way home and found a Smash Changer Optimus Prime on clearance for $17. Was specifically there looking for one of these after seeing clearance tags at my local store so I'm very happy with this find, too!

I went to my local TrU and OF COURSE, right after I got my BB44 Optimus from Will, I find one. But still, just one. So I took it for my friend. He also took NEST Bonecrusher because he loves that bugger.

MY actual haul was getting "Sphinx" Dinobot and the Baroness with her bike. Both were on clearance and there's a limited time sale that if you buy two clearance items, the cheapest of the two is 40% off. So both were WAY cheaper than my "deal" I got for that Baroness at a flea market for 80$.

Still, there's tons of stuff on clearance at TrU and I know you also collect Star Wars and Marvel. You may find some things that were "meh" at full price but sweet at around 60% off.

Finally got the chance to open a bunch of packages last night

Here's my and my friend's haul.

First, my friend's. Usually, he don't like beastformers. But yesterday, he bought a cheap truck with trailer at Walmart. The trailer is a livestock trailer. And the scale is perfect with SS Bee Movie voyager Optimus! Just a slight mod to the trailer hitch will do the job. Then, the trailer needed animals. So here comes the ROTB Battlemasters!
He's getting all 3 so far, and his very first Optimus Primal toy by default.

On my end, I got the SS86 Core Ironhide at GameStop. One more Amazon.ca preorder that I could cancel!
At Tru, the Legacy Core toys were on sale at below 10$CAN. So I finally got Shockwave and G2 Megs. They also had the TF and Jo ReAction figures on sale at 17$CAN. Not the cheapest but I got a and troopers to complete my X-Over Joeformers. And they work!
