No probs boss! :D

So looks like the rumours of punch being included in the Walmart Headmasters release is just going to be hot air in the end (though stranger things have happened I guess).

Which leaves us to speculate what other figure can take that spot.

I'm speculating on if I should sell my POTP P/CP now or wait to see what happens with that Headmasters wave. I can see them doing Punchy here and the original deco in the Headmasters wave. Either way, it would've been nice to get another gun with the figure.

But he's not a Retro Headmaster. That's part of the title.

Thinking about the punch/counterpunch figure returning, it'd be cool for him to come out in the comics and have some sort of story arc with doubledealer. Like being in a stalemate because they can blow eachothers covers, or getting lost in the counterpunch identity and being tricked by doubledealer, or doubledealer pretending to be a spy for the autobots with punch. It would be cool to see an interaction between the two

I gots my Smokescreen from Amazon a few days ago(then cancelled my pulse one) and he is awesome. Very much a mini masterpiece. I also switched out the Siege shoulder guns to Eartrise Smokescreen, making him all the more awesome. This Datsun mold is the best ever and I cant wait till I gets Prowl along with Ironhide, since I skipped Siege Ironhide.

As far as this Punch goes, its not for me and glad I can save the money for something else. I have the original Headmasters deco PotP's one. I dont think it will be bettered for years.

I'm not against it.

What if they really go off the rails and fill their Optimus quotient with Convobat/bat Optimus Primal to tie in with Kingdom? Bonus points if they give us a red one.

Anyway, ordered two of the Barricade/ Punch/Counterpunch set, not sure what I'm going to do with the extra Barricade. My only wish is that they had painted the gun black this time around (they painted Barricade's gun gold so it could have happened), then I could swap one of them with one of the PW Trilogy so that Counterpunch could have a black gun. Maybe I'll just paint the gun now that the value is likely going to drop (not that I plan on selling them).

You're right. That would definitely be off the rails for a vintage-packaging-nostalgia-driven line named Retro Headmasters. 8-}

I didn't call it off the rails for nothing. I mean, it would still be a Headmaster figure in vintage packaging (just not HIS vintage packaging) that would certainly be nostalgic to adults that grew up with Beast Wars. 25 years is still considered retro.

There is no other figure. The person who reported that initially wrongly assumed things, hence why we should always take "insider" info with a grain of salt. Here are the facts:

- The person who first said this is in contact with someone who works at the factory
- The factory worker mentionned the retro head masters along with Punch Counterpunch (PCP) and Barricade
- The person then assumed the rest and included PCP with the retro headmasters since they didn't know where else it could go

They were wrong.

So since that's all we have to go on, the retro headmasters will be the ones we know that are coming, with no rumour of any other toy being there. So it could simply be some toys getting shipped more per case or extras of wave one or whatever else.

I didn't understand why Punch / Counterpunch was getting a lighter deco, but I think it's an homage to his recent appearance in Transformers '84 #0.

If that's the case, it's kinda weird. Hasbro hasn't paid much attention to the G1 comics before. If they had, we'd have a Ratchet with a red helmet in Selects by now...

I have the original Power of the Primes Punch for sale on Ebay, today's the last bidding day for it. I didn't particularly want the toy anymore, and once I heard the leaks about a re-release I reckoned the resale value for the original would sink like a stone as soon as the new one was announced, but now the auction is up to £56 my worry is whoever wins it will turn around and say "Don't want it no more cancel plz", because that's happened before...

Regardless, I think I will pre-order the Dominus set, mainly for Barricade, but I do like the new colour scheme on Punch. There's a bit of a missed opportunity with this set not having one of the Deluxe Headmasters seeing as it's Dominus (the new name for the planet Master, and going by the description it even has the same environmental hazards as Master), but I suppose that's what the Retro Headmaster range is for.

I'm happy everyone that didn't get P/CP the first time have another shot at him, but I really dislike that they bundled him with a new figure. If you already have P/CP, this set is a hard buy. I wish they would have made him a single release and included someone new with Barricade.

not necessarily, I've already made a deal to get the barricade off of someone who wanted the p/pc, try giving that a shot ;)^

Nice looking set, and good to see people get another go at P/CP. But bummer, I was only going to try getting Barricade if he was a single release, so this is also a no go for me. Leaves just 1 GO set, and I am not getting any of them yet

I did the same with the Ratchet set, I preordered, but decided to cancel, the Arcee mold isn't good from what I've heard and don't have any intention to get it, and I will get that Ratchet as SG Ratchet, so I'm good.

So two different releases of Punch-Counterpunch and both were Amazon exclusives. Makes sense right?

I guess they really wanted to get their all out of this mold. At least they did different colors.
