I don't know if you're into weapon swapping, but if you get Netflix Optimus maybe you can give SS his battlemasters. The yellows would match pretty well I think, and when Streaker is in vehicle mode, they can go back to Prime.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I was trying to give Sunstreaker a weapon, and this was as close as I got to success. Didn't work out. So Sunstreaker stands with no weapon, just a model

Also very strange was an Astotrain in Siege packaging, along with ER ones. I had never seen one in person before. I wonder if it got mixed in a case accidentally...??

Probably someone returned it when they realized it wasn't worth anything.
Here's the thing though: due to timing and SIEGE's tail-end distribution woes, a lot of the SIEGE Astrotrain stock ultimately got routed to discount stores. People have been reporting finding him at Ross for $17.99.o.supreme wrote:Not now, and certainly not out of package, but 10 years down the road, maybe more, it will probably go up in value. I didn't purchase it, but so many wildly variant blister cards of toys on eBay sometimes sell for crazy prices if they are considered "rare" variants.
As I stated before, I had never seen an Astrotrain in Siege Packaging. If not for the ER re-release (which is plentiful now). I probably would have had to pay more than retail to get it, as it (the Siege version), sold out quickly online.

Yeah, Ross' toy section is a mess. Luckily WFC boxes are have that "pentagonized rectangle" shape to make them easier to pick out for anyone hunting, not that I had any luck finding any Transformers stuff at Ross when I went. I also checked the neighboring Target for Earthrise Deluxes; no luck. But they did still have 2 SIEGE Hounds! And a SIEGE Megatron, but that's Voyager-class. But at least some ER Astrotrains had made it to the shelves, since they weren't as choked with SIEGE Shockwave as the other Target.aronjlove wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Here's the thing though: due to timing and SIEGE's tail-end distribution woes, a lot of the SIEGE Astrotrain stock ultimately got routed to discount stores. One Ross I went to had a single Siege Astrotrain, a couple of Siege Ultra Mags, and a few Siege Screamers. The leaders were all together on a shelf, and the Screamers were found in the various piles the Ross toy section inevitably turns into.
I doubt that, because of the whole receipts thing. My point was, that deep a discount on SIEGE Astrotrain kinda cuts into the eBay resale value. It's like what happened to TR Overlord.o.supreme wrote:Hmm... I had not heard about them showing up at discount. Interesting, then I guess it's possible that someone is purchasing Siege Astrotrains at Ross , and returning them to Target, for full price?? Diabolical!

Somebody probably *traded* it for another Leader Class figure. Returned it, got gift card or whatever, bought Doubledealer/Optimus Prime.
I challenge you to get the corresponding figures from yet another line and pose them in vehicle mode in this same shot.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Thanks to Siege and Earthrise, I can finally do this
Classics OP and Mirage with Universe Ironhide, Prowl, and Sunstreaker, perhaps (if he has them)?Rodimus Prime wrote:I challenge you to get the corresponding figures from yet another line and pose them in vehicle mode in this same shot.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Thanks to Siege and Earthrise, I can finally do this
