But you well knew the suggested retail price before going there. So yeah, -1 for integrity.

Gotta love the loop holes of retail!

And Has anyone else noticed that alot of movie toy UPCs are showing as unlisted?

I've had this happen in alot of places.

It wouldn't have mattered, the damn thing wasn't in their computers so they could have pulled any price they wanted out of thin air. What the store should have done is called another location and gotten the correct price. They didn't, they were lazy and they paid the price. So please get off your high horse and leave sto_vo_kor_2000 alone.

Quoted for truth, the fault here is the store, the employees who put it out are responsile and do not care about their employer to make sure that the item put on the shelf correctly with the correct price.

It happened to me numerous times where item had wrong price or wasn't entered yet in the system and they were still able to enter/modify it manually. Last time was with FAB Bumblebee and FAB Barricade. I just say how much it's worth, they compare with a similar product and voilà.

I can vouch for this!

Tommy Tek is no scalper. He is how ever a member of this site that I know is good on his word. Which by the way, your package is gonna be sent Thursday!

One of the guys I'm sending you I know is gonna inspire a TAT, I wanna see a pic of it when that happens.

I sufferd enough years in retail to know the general rule is, if a customer picks something off a shelf thats marked at a certain price and there are multiple items there with no prof of any other price. That marked price should be the one that is honored.

GMs are never happy about this rule and will try to fight it, but alittle stink will usualy shut them up.

Had you read his post you'd have seen they already called back and compared it to the most similar product they could find, which was $19.99. -1 to Target.

And you did you bother reading MY post? The buyer KNEW the retail price well before going there, all he had to do was to tell the true price to the cashier, which he never did. That's what makes him dishonest. What's more, most stores have Internet access, so it would have been super easy to confirm.

Judging by the size and the features of the toy I new it was going to be costly but I had no idea how much it was going to be at all.The store's around here dont often carry the larger TF's al that much and when I saw it I was a bit shocked to see it on the shelf. So how can you tell me or others that I knew what the price was???????

Congrats. I'm happy for you. But fyi, you don't need to defend yourself on this one, because you're right. It's store policy EVERYWHERE that if an item is marked incorrectly, you pay the displayed price, which is not necessarily the correct price EVEN if the cashier knows the correct price. It's happened to me before at Best Buy.

Again, congrats! I'm jealous.

Maybe where you live but I havent seen a single comercial or add about this toy since it was first anounced at the last bot-con.......I was starting to think it was never going to be released.....the only hint to the price I had was ebay sales and you know their not a good judge on prices
just look at sume of these prices on completed auctions.

$41 + shipping
http://cgi.ebay.com/Transformers-Ultima ... dZViewItem

$56+ shipping
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-ULTIMATE-BUMBLE ... dZViewItem

$51 +shipping
http://cgi.ebay.com/TRANSFORMERS-ULTIMA ... dZViewItem

The prices are all over the bord.......and I still dont know how much he should have been.....

Thats what I hear. It doesn't matter if you know the price. I believe legally it is their job to set it. I know I have found stuff marked incorrectly and the stores have always honored the price even knowing that it is incorrect.

Regardless, the moral police need to back down. No need to force ones opinions on. Otherwise this will end up like the Scalpers thread.

And if that WAS the case why didnt anybody else in the store know how much it was........Not the line manerger, the cashier or the sales person in the department knew the price.....if it had been "advertised for MONTHS and retail price has been posted over and over and over and over all over the place" you think one of them would have knowen the price.

This is a little bit overboard u cant expect all of us to know the prices of every single TF item... The guy plainly said he wasnt even looking for it... It was a stroke of good luck plain and simple not a moral issue.. Im happy for u dood, deep down in side I think most all of us dream on getting over on a retail chain that screws us all on the daily!! :P

Nice exsample but I dont shop at online stores anymore!!!!I haven been able to in about 2 years.....I dont have any credit card anymore so I dont even look at those places.I havent had any credit sinces my doctors forced me to stop working. And
I dont read to many of threads about the new toys because I get depressed that I cant buy them anymore.Go ahead and see if I have made many post in that section.......about the only topic I post on in the toy section latly is the kitbash thread.
There was a time that I bought every TF I could get my hands on I have over almost 3000 in my collection but since I got to sick to work I cant get many of them.I was only able to buy about 7 figures from the Cybertron line and 5 from the movie.
So stop asumeing that every body is capable of of coming across the same info that you have.
