It's the one about TFs for Girls. I won't get into the details here because i don't want it to spill over. I'm just warning you, it is very long and drawn out—almost 30 pages—and controversial. It'll take a while to catch up.

Well, if you get through it all, you will. But, let's not get into it here. If you want to join the debate, you're welcome to, just keep it civil regardless of which side you end up taking. But let's leave it over in that thread. and continue to discuss Primus and Unicron here.

WHOA! I had no idea this would get into a big argument! Well, now I am fanwanking the hell out of the G1 Cartooniverse, saying that Call of the Primitives was a "what if story", and that Primus Wasn't existant because he retreated to the dephts of Cybertron to hide from Primus, from the beginning of the galaxy to when the Great War ended, and the Quintessons were servants of Unicron, and that they ENSLAVED the Transformers.

It's hardly an argument worthy subject. And I wouldn't say it's gotten to that point.

And I thought this was about explaining why things were the way they were in G1, not about which continuity is 'correct'. Which if it did devolve into argument would be extremely circular and annoying, since again there is no correct answer for things like this.

Hi! everybody.
I just wanted to say that everyone can choose his G1 continuety he wants if some like old marvel G1 then that is his correct continuety, I like the show because I've never read the comics so that's the G1 story I like and I aslo like to belive that when primacron built his assistan and gave his life he gave him primus essence, together they built vector sigma and used it create the first primitives trasformers, later primacron built unicron the same way like primus believing he could create a powelful being like primus and cotrol him but unicron attack primacron and primus and vector sigma was blowen into space until it finaly landed on cybertron and the quints found it and use it to give to life to their robots. This is my theory and since it's fiction everyone can have his theory or ignore a story if he wants to.

By the way I like also Idw story but see it as something copletely new and separated from the multiverse

Yeah, GLYPH is right, as he was the OTHER times he posted that tidbit about Dreamwave's stuff no longer being official. :-x :-x :-x But yeah, that is the problem with Transformers- something becomes canon, something else stops being canon, etc.

Wrong Damolisher. That wouold be like saying that the Bantam era SW books are no longer canon because Ballanetine/DelRey now holds the license. A new company taking ove the license does not invalidate the previous material, and no official statement by Hasbro or Takara has stated that the DW material is no longer valid either. They would be fools to do so.

I highly doubt that. You don't have a clue as to who knows more or who knows less. you are making a biased assumption, and you know what they say about what happens when you assume something don't you?

Yeah, I wind up like you, getting 403 posts worth of topic locked with stubborn stupidity. And I do know who knows more based on the fact he's the HMW editor here, and you're some stubborn goomba with outdated books who thinks he knows better than everyone.

First off, I never said I know more than everyone. You certainly claim to though. You are also extremely confrontational when everyone else is having a friendly discussion. And whether or not he is HMW editor, so what? That is a fan-fiction—an RPG. You don't need to know absolutely everything top run something like that. There is no doubt that Glyph is knowledgable, but he does not know everything, nor do I, and certainly nor do you. So, unless he actually works for Hasbro's licensing department, he really would not have the authority to say That the DW material is no longer valid. Only Hasbro can make that call, and announce it publiclly. Glyph is a fan, just like the rest of us. He does not work for Hasbro. Therefore, he has no authority to say that the DW material is forfit. Especially since IDW has stated that they would like to take over where DW left off, but currently can't because of the DW Bankrupcy litigation, and that was released publicly.

And for the record, Damolisher, To assume, makes an ass out of you and me. And that is what you are doing.

I know what the comment means, Captain Obvious. I was CLEARLY being facetious, but judging from the fact you have to argue with EVERYTHING, you missed the point. Maybe if Dreamwave released a joke book with a bunch of altered answers, you'd take those as facts. And I never said I know more than anyone either. I said GLYPH knows more than you, which he does. It's not a fanfiction either, because a fanfiction needs a story. Christ, do you argue with everyone who states a fact that you haven't heard about?

You don't know that Damolisher, because you don't know me. You don't know how much I know or don't know. You assume too much. I know a lot more than you think I do, and what I don't know, I look up. So don't go saying anyone knows more than anyone else. The only thing you can say is that someone may know more than you. The only thing you can judge is how much you know.
And, for the record, No, I don't argue with everyone who knows a fact I don't. I will ask him to cite a source though, so that I can look it up to verify it myself though.

I think that both or you guys have miss-read Glyph's post. He's not saying that Hasbro has dismised the DW history all together as if it never happened....just that they stand behind IDW because they now have the rights to tell the story.Think about it.....even 10 years from now if Marvel[or sombody else] gets the rights to do Transformers they will then be the official G1 continuity.

I didn't misread his post. According to Simon Furman himself, the IDW Infiltration/Escalation/Devastation, etc continuity is its own continuity completely separate from the preoviously established core G1 canon. It is its own universe and continuity. It doesn't replace the DW material or the material in TransFormers: the Ultimate Guide no longer the difinitive classic G1 continuity. The current story line IDW is putting out is not based directly upon the original G1 toys or their continuity. Simon Furman himself said it is a complete reimagining, not meant to replace the previous material. It is its own thing separate from everything previously written or even what they at=re writing concurrently. It doesn't even have a connection to their Beast Wars title, which is set in the core G1 universe, just like the original BW series was.

No, Damolisher, warning someone that you will report them is far from trolling. In fact, just the opposite. It is the very first thing a person should do to resolve an issue, then, and only then should the individiual take it to a higher authority.
