He's got some pretty far-out powers to go along with them, too, including teleportation, the projection of trippy telepathic visions and illusions, and the ability to groove on the language of 98% of all known species. To uses his powers to the fullest, though, he's gotta be feelin' good vibrations; bad karma can seriously harsh his mellow, y'know?

Now that's more like it! I'm not 100% sold yet, but this series might restore my faith/interest in Transformers. Yeah it's gonna be kidsy (what Transformers series wasn't? Except maybe Beast Machines?) and we'll have to put up with a few annoying aspects like BB voice but the animation and general feel to that clip has me pretty excited. Plus I really like the look of the toys, they really seem to have captured the cartoony look of the show characters without compromising on Transformation/alt-mode. This could be a very promising line especially for those of us who don't like the movie aesthetic.

Told you folks that Kenny would be a perfect fit for Starscream.

Man this show is going to be soooo much better than the Unicron trilogy. Just from the standpoint that it isn't some of the worst clunky, stiff CGI I've seen in years. And the toys are so amazingly spot on I'm actually in awe at how they came up with the transformations.

That **** is annoyingly retarded.

I agree. You have to have humans when you write a story about an alien race coming to Earth. And you have to have a regular human character that the kids can relate to. Yu may not like but in the end? TS, you're stuck with it.

Can anyone think of another series out there, any genre, where people complain that there are too many humans in it? Farscape? Babylon 5? Anything? I think the real issue is with quality of writing- it's not that the kids themselves are the problem- *annoying* kids are the problem. I wanted the Armada kids to get stood on as soon as possible. Masterforce had even MORE kids, but they were well written with their own characters and motivations, so I enjoyed their presence. I'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed that little Sari and everyone else in Detroit is written well.

As for what we've seen so far, I love it. The theme song, the animation, the voice acting, the cast... couldn't ask for more. Roll on Christmas!

What I liked:
Arcee: She's back! I've always liked Arcee, and it's very cool to see her look like her G1 self again. anyone know what she turns into?
Grimlock: Looks good. I hope they keep him as"Me Grimlock!" and do not change him.
Starscream: Oh my God, his voice give me chills! Why didn't they use this guy for the movie?
What I didn't like
Bumblebee: His voice was just too whiny. I half expected him to ask Uncle Owen if he could go into Toshi Station :D
Prowl. He just looks to organic.

As far as the animation goes, I'm not sure. I am not a fan of the Teen Titans type of animation, so that is a turn off for me, but, I will say that it looks a lot better than the still pictures we have seen.

And the theme: Almost perfect! A hell of a lot better than Mute Math.

What is wrong with an animated robot using a gun for once these days? They all looked like Gobots with energy shooting out of their fists. :(
Soccer moms not wanting their kids to blow holes in each other from the guns they leave in their sock drawers.....that's what's wrong.

.....so instead they buckle them up in their high-priced carseats in the back of the car, where they forget about the kid & it burns to death....

Starscream still sounds annoying, as does bumblebee, but it's very cartoonish, and hey this is a cartoon, so works out.

Weapon: Particle Beam Cannon
I still have mixed feelings about this, but here's my observations so far:

- I like the fact that we kinda went back to G1.

- It's good to see the Dinobots back, although I hope that they don't turn them into retards again.

- I found it wierd to see the Autobots walk away from a burning building while all kinds of people were cheering them. Aren't they supposed to be in disguise? I really hoped that they'd be like the early Budiansky TF's.

- Starscream's voice was a nice nod to Latta.

- I don't know what to think of Prowl, he's always been the strict military type instead of a ninja.

- The Nemesis looked badass.

- WTF? why did they have to crowbar a kid into this?

I was super-skeptical about this. But the cast of voice actors lined up...and now this clip...have me looking foward to it.

Optimus with a huge freaking axe!

GRIMLOCK! DINOBOTS! ARCEE! STARSCREAM!

Now, if only we didn't have to wait so long...

Looks OK but I really reserving my judgement for the actual story lines. If the stories suck, doesn't matter how G1 it is-IMO.

That was good.

Dinobots, Arcee, and Blackarachnia, oh my!

Starscream's voice is right on, but I never thought that Screamer was an butt kisser, "Oh yes, wise and great leader!"
