Personally I'd like it every week. But what ever everyone thinks is cool is cool.

Well, you could put up a poll on the main page to set the alt-rotation rate, or you could do something diabolical by having it be triggered by dips in player participation or a decrease in the number of resets performed per day.

Actually, the really evil thing would be to somehow rig it to the mission ratio. When the Decepticons win 1,000 missions their alt table rotates and when the Bots win 1,000 missions their alt table rotates...

Programmatically though it would probably be more work than it is worth. We'll do a poll.

Me too... only it'd have to be more than 1000 wins, cuase that'd only take a couple or three days most of the time.

Yeah, the number was arbitrary because I really didn't know how many missions we crank through in a day.

Just for curiousity's sake though, was there any particular logic behind which alts were assigned which "rotation frequency"? For instance, the Autobots have 4 helicopter alts right now; one Core and three Common. Using this as an example, given that these alts all have the same tactics, how was it decided that the "Attack Helicopter" would be Core and the "Futuristic Helicopter" would be Common?

Is there a list somewhere of which alt-modes are rare, which are common, and which are core?

If so, could we have a link to it somewhere on the "available alts" page, for easy access?

I'm thinking about resetting one of my Tank characters, whose alt isn't currently active - if it's a common alt, I'll wait until it reappears, if it's rare, I'll do it now and make do with another alt instead.

DAMN YOU OS! Now you make me want to reset some guys. I really liked the Armoured Truck alt from before, and kind of regretted I didn't get it before, now I'm not sure if I really want ANOTHER tank alt. The only one I see that I can reset is Necros since he was supposed to be a strafer originally and didn't have the exp. Now he has enough exp, but I find I'm more lucky with my rammers than my strafers, so I'm really contemplating. In the end, I'm probably going to reset because the Armoured Truck is a rare, while the current alt I don't really care for.

But, then again. ANOTHER TANK! Yeah, I'm long winded and can talk about anything

10,000 then, about half way between 3 weeks and and a week?

I like the idea of it being times by mission wins. Feels like you actually have a reason to play other than turning the bar at the top even more purple.

Nah, that's no good - it lists the AVAILABLE alts by rarity, but not the unavailable ones.

Given that Whiteout's alt isn't available yet, I need to deide whether or not it's worth resetting him given that all I plan to do is rip out his Ram and put in a point of strength.

If his alt is common, then it'll be available fairly shortly and I can simply wait until it is.

If his alt is rare, then it's not worth the wait and therefore I can reset him now.
