Stop exaggerating. No one here, or at least the majority, says that you have to like it. It's how people express their opinions that matters. Haven't you been reading this thread, CreatureSH?
Surely your mommy bought you more than TF-toys when you were a kid..Just because something is out to sell something doesn't mean it can't have integrity and sensibility that doesn't just cater to the most generic aspect of society...Those whose lives revolve around the lowest common denominator of entertainment will flock regardless...
Blackout wrote:Look, I am absolutely fine with your stance against the movie. I think it (the movie) has some bad flaws, but it excels in so many ways.
Anyway, I just don't like the way you try to belittle everyone who likes it, and then slam Michael Bay just because he didn't make what you want.
It's okay to say, Bay did this or that. But to write insults - like you did earlier - well, that's just so immature. Sorry, Wing.
Creature SH wrote:Ah, sorry - I should've been back here sooner. I keep losing track of topics on this board.
But yeah, Riotflea has said it. The raving, downright lunatic praise never seems to raise any eyebrows here. It seems to me that some would prefer to live in a bubble where free thought is not permitted, so that their opinion can't be shook by those who don't share it.
Really, folks, what are you afraid of ?

Blackout wrote:Riotflea wrote:The insults... no, the UNEXPECTED level of insults, initially came from the makers, not from the fans.
So it's okay to then insult those who like it?
Riotflea wrote:Though it's strange to expect the people disliking the movie to take a chill pill when we've been getting called names and having FALSE , extremely preposterous assumptions about "what we wanted" tossed onto us.
Blackout wrote:Given your use of 'lunatic praise' I think you just qualified for being a jerk, Creature.

I really, really don't like it when people put words into my mouth. I have made it clear several times that I am none to say that Bay raped anyone's childhood. I say that "he" (as a figurehead for the entire Hollywood machine) killed the potential for something much better than what we see.

I'm sorry, but that is just not true. I've seen several people on this forum and others who say just that.
Blackout wrote:As much as critics are attacking those who like it? Is that too hard to see?![]()
Blackout wrote:Well, at least it shows you cant help but make inappropriate and really outlandish and harsh statements in place of an argument.
