Thanks for the heads up S250!

I wanted a toy of pre-earth Ratchet/Ironhide, so that might be fun. I wonder if Ironhide would have a color-change gimmick though?

I also can understand the need for Hasbro to put out as much Bumblebee as possible for the younger ones, but from my point of view this figure is somewhat redundant. This is just my opinion though.

Who was it that argued against the idea of vehicle mode weapons? Something along the lines of, "then what is the point of transforming?"

Well, I agreed with you. Here's what we got in return.

I like the shoulder weapons. But why do we always have to sacrifice one weapon for another? Would it have been too much to ask for shoulder weapons AND his hand cannon? The combination would have sold me on this....but the lack of his other weapon is a turn off.

Might I suggest that they put the vehicle the right way up before taking the picture?

You need to be able to refuel!!! Vehicle modes to me equal, useful alternative to robot mode for disguise, speed, transport, flight, more artillery, what not, robot mode to me equals hanging out at maccadam's oil!

I'm confused, is this Bumblebee the preview figure (that one that ships with Soundwave) or is this figure being released in addition to the preview figure?

That second picture looks like a crappy McDonald's toy...

As for Bumblebee, I admit the shoulder cannons are kinda cool and there are some nice mild-alterations to the mold...But it doesn't make me want to buy ANOTHER Bumblbee (when I already have three of the previous verions of this mold)

And it seems to me that it's becoming a bit of a misnomer to call it a "Concept Camero", seeing as how the car is IN production and available to the public as the 2009-model Camero...

Speaking of which, I hope that means they'll actually be able to do some cool stunts with him in this movie since they now have more than ONE car available to work with...And they can drive it faster than 25mph...

My Autobot army is going to consist of Optimus Prime and 2 dozen variations of Bumblebee by the time the 3rd movie comes out. I'm really glad they didn't feel the need to do this crap back in the G1 days.
Come to think of it, they don't really NEED to do this crap now!!!
Screw this toy, I'm not buying it! I think it's about time we sent a message to Hasbro that we aren't going to be their bitches any longer!
I'm sick of their crappy repaints and their basic lack of thought and effort and inability to give us products that are worth a damn.
I really hate to say it, but this toy line (the whole Trafnsformer toy line) is turning into one huge dissapointment and I think has finally reached the end of it's run. I'm to the point where I don't even want to buy Transformers for my kids anymore. I'd just as soon get them TCG's or Ben10 figures before I get them TF's.
Let's see if Hasbro can guess which finger I'm holding up now!

It looks much better then the preview BB we saw. does he actually have his right hand or does he have a gun for a hand like the preview BB has ?
either way i'm going to keep out on this BB and get the Human Alliance one instead.

There's a little too much yellow on Bumblebee's arms, and it looks like they're using the solid blue windows of the '74 Camaro rather than the much more awesome translucent ones of the '08 Camaro model.

Still, the new guns are pretty awesome.

The arms are the most significant change to the retooling. Not the cannons. It looks a LOT like the kitbash I did a year ago, by removing the arms from the top roof and having that rooftop fold inwards and snap into the back via a separate structure I had to build myself. It was complex, but made for a more accurate outcome.

There was still plenty of room in front of the doors for cannons or whatever.

cool it man.
also take into account your talking about toys marketed for 3 year olds.
some of us feel the same way you do,but the point is that we dont do anything because hasbro has done this for years and they wont stop now.
but if they didn't have variations and recolors, even more poeple would hate the toys even more.

example:
some people(me included)dont like animated deluxe bumblebee,so i bought the activator to be in scale, but i didn't like the colors(namely the yellow),so i bought the patrol version to fit with the other autobots as far as colors go(his yellow makes him stick out)

if they didn't have variations and recolors id be completely screwed on having a bumblebee, because i hated the main version of it.
